This isn't about the giveaway (generous of Sierra though, you guys are great), I also am not getting emails, even though I thought I was subscribed, I've never received a newsletter from them. It looks like a common problem, hopefully it can get sorted out?

No? I really only use one... It's not being spam-filtered, I don't think they're being sent to me, like all the other people who mentioned it on page 2. I've got the subscribe box ticked off in my profile.

Truth is this is a really aggressive move by them. You can see why the business is pretty damn successful at the end of the day. In one day theyve changed the rules on global shopping - this is pretty much what every person with internet access wants to see happen but very few companies (if any) actually have the balls to do it.
I envisage a backlash of some description from some of the more commercial brands, because this is arguably way bigger than anything theyve done all year when you put it in perspective. But i hope the smaller brands out there recognise that this is putting your board in the hands of people who would LOVE to ride it but cant justify the price, the shipping and the import tax on top of it, (instead theyd probably just go and buy a burton deck because thats what saturates our market, it has name recognition, and its just more convenient). For any companies out there listening in, realise that as a customer, sierra have just made you a serious alternative in our purchasing considerations. Why wouldnt you want to offer your deck to everyone for the same price at the end of the day? |

Thanks to Jared and the Sierra crew, can't wait for the new Stunt, sweet new superfragelistic board to try this year on Mount P', see ya round air t-bar. If I have a choice the 159W or 162W would suit my size 12USboots...

Congrats mate! the stunt is such a siick board, i bought the 162w, if i could give you some advice, go the 159 they are both pretty wide so unless you weigh over 100kgs, 159 will make a better park option!!

sorry to double post, but this is exactly the reason i love sierra, well apart from the amazing sales. But anyway a lot of the smaller brands simply can't be found in Australia, Really high quality brands Like Arbour and Option etc. just can't seem to get a leg in over here and they build some of the best boards i have ever ridden! I would love to see sierra really focus (from an international capacity) on bringing some of these smaller North American/Canadian brands to International Customers who's range of choice normally consists of Burton, Rosignol, K2 and GNU (if they're lucky)

Going ahead tomorrow so i'd say its now a regular thing. They must have heaps of SS boards in stock they want to get rid of.
Interesting to see that behind the local US guys, Australians are the next highest number of members. Must be because we get reamed so badly locally and Sierra rocks!!! |

Yeah, that has been mentioned before in another post/thread (I dunno) about Aussies being 2nd most on here - I think that is pretty weird myself. Thats good news then about the Giveaway - even less work done at work in the mornings then

Well fark me sideways! What a pleasant ambitious manouvre on Sierra's behalf. That's so cool. So that means I should sort out that iphone loggin into Sierra, like twice a day to go in both Draws, if I've understood right?
Um, ok so now I wonder: would there be much interest generated if I propose the idea of having some sort of a Sierra members meet-up n ride down under in NZ this season? ......yeah yeah na yeah?

Yeah.. I've been trying to encourage that to happen in the international threads... Maybe I'll open a thread when the time gets closer. We'll have to call it... "NewOzzapalooza" or something. :P |

The first notice said this International give-away will run all week. So sounds like a trial. IMO, it will probably end when they clear out stock of the surplus of Sierra boards.

the normal give away is kinda late for us swedish. its at midnight. so i'd rather have the new give away 6-3 hours before the normal give away or 7-8 hours after the normal give away!
and im sure most european's would agree.
but man thats nice for the Aussi, good work sierra. |
