International/NZ/Australian Snowboard Giveaway

Well, I'm happy with my purchases from Sierra... I'm just sorry I bought the first lot through a friend so no points for me. But still, at 70% off with free international shipping, you REALLY can't complain. International giveaway or not.
Having said that, I reckon one of the reasons it failed was the fact that it started on April...

Aussies are famous for leaving everything to the last possible minute, so to expect a lot of ppl even remembering about snow when we're having 28ºC+ almost everyday is almost naive.

If this had started now when it's wet and cold, chances are you'd be getting at least twice as many ppl logging in.

Also, you guys need to do a better work at advertising down under if that's really going to take off... it's amazing the amount of ppl that either don't know the website or 'keep forgetting it exists'.

IMO, you guys rock!!!!!! Got 99.9% of my gear from you guys and have talked least another 4-5 blokes into doing the same.

I think the international give away is a great idea and I'll log in any time Sierra say it's on. Not sure why I don't get emails anymore though. Sierra rocks whether they give boards away or not.I've saved thousands of dollars buying from Sierra. Australian prices for snow gear suck.

No official word AFAIK  on the future of the international giveaway.  Safe to assume it has been parked temporarily though.

And yes, if your phone is compatible you can log into chat at the mobile site and be eligible.

Public holiday on the 14th, so I would imagine that the snow fields are busy.....it's been so warm this year so far

Mt Buller has had the snow makers going and it might even be snowing now. I really think I need a stunt to start the season with.

i wouldnt even mind payin postage if i win!

God i want a Stunt soo badly!! I bought a RC the other week during the public holiday weekend special....Shoulda pulled the trigger on the Stunt, now im desperately trying to win one OR wait for another discount...damn you Sierra!

would be a good idea as most people are on their wau to work at 8am therfore most cant log onto the net unless they have an iphone or blackberry

Absolutely. You could live in the moon and still be eligible. As long as you are signed in during the Giveaway time you will be eligible to win :)

The Australian giveaway has not been running for some time now.

Hi James,

You need to have been active on the forums within the last half hour. This also includes signing in, i.e. if you sign in @ 7:30, you're right to go up until 8:00. I generally sign in just before I leave for work, around 7:45AM (just in case if it runs late for whatever reason).

As long as they get an email out to members saying where and when, ill be there. Hopefully they bring it back, until then 8am every morning for me.

Ah, thanks. Looks like I have to start logging in on my phone.

I wish I'd joined the forum a couple of months earlier and gone in the international draw, I might have a new snowboard by now :)

I'll just have to "make do" with my new gear due for delivery Monday.
