shaun white always rides alone-

wellll in snowboard videos everyone has their own "part" (usually), hence why hes alone...

in the project x video i saw he wasn't riding alone. I forgot who was riding with him but he wasn't riding alone.


checking the video again right now(strange i swear i thought he wasn't riding alone. I still stand by it.)

His mainly a pipe rider isn't he?(that's the only time i see him in the winter games and x games)  So i don't think you need an entourage to ride  pipe sessions.

Because anyone he rides with will just look like a fool beside him

A lot of pros dont like him because they say hes a sellout for having all the big name sponsors like HP and target and for always being at celebrity events. Most of the videos that hes in are with other guys sponsored by Burton or redbull so I assume the sponsors set that up for him

its cause he has red hair. they are a solliatary rider in general.  Wow what a useless thread...

videos hardly give you any insight as to what a snowboarder does in general.  you might think plenty of people never ride anything but pipe and maybe slopestyle once in a while based on what you see on tv, but the truth is that no one has any idea what someone is doing unless they are actually personal friends with them.

I've seen him ride in Park City, and he had his brother or someone with him. He seems like a family guy. But also, he's hard to keep up with!

I would wager he would get bored if he rode with anyone else.

I've seen a couple of video parts where he's ridden with other people - seem to remember a beautifully lit night time half pipe sessions with someone (Kevin Pearce maybe?)

I doubt anyone that focused rides with anyone much when he's training - it's work for him and you need single minded determination, but as other have pointed out, I'm pretty sure he has just fun days with his homies

They are mad bcuz he is bringin big name money in and they're not? I mean to noobs and people just starting he is snowboarding. I did say to noobs and people just starting out, so don't rip me for that. I think this is due to the fact that he is sponsored by big name people who put him and the sport out there for new people. He is getting a nice hefty check and doing what he loves to do. So to the other pros that don't like him for the reason that he has big sponsors, grow up and get a sponsor that will put your face on something and make a name for your sport.

i think its probably (like the other guy said) that people follow shaun where ever if hes on a public mountain. id hate that. Iv seen videos where he and the other red bull sponsers stayed at a base camp in Japan and hiked up mountains together, it was sooo sick.

No pro rider want to be a joker, no one wants to ride with Shaun is reasonable.

in tv shows like Eero ettala and the standard snowboard show he is never on either so i didnt no if other riders don't like him cuz hes so good

Because he is a tool... Naw, probably because he is spotlighted and he is far and above the snowboarder with the most sponsorship and commercialization
