Bump! I thought Punxsutawney Phil promised us 6 more weeks of actual winter. It's been such a disheartening (
 ) season. When I rode w/ giftedhands & kimchi last week, the "winter" of '11-'12 was officially dubbed The Season of Eternal Spring.

Yeah WCPW thread died. Jim are you riding this season?
Winter never came this season. Yesterday Mt High conditions looked like mid April...I can't believe so much has melted in one week. |

Hey, longtime no speak. I went to Mammoth last weekend, it was pretty good considering the season's lack of snow. It was the first time since Thanksgiving. I have not been to Mt. High at all this season. But after last weekend, I got my stoke up. I'm going to UT for a conference this week then hitting up Canyons, Park City and maybe Snow Basin Fri-Sun. With the lack of snow, I've spent most weekends precision rifle shooting at Angeles Shooting Range or handloading custom ammo at home. KABOOM! Have you been riding? How's your season been?

I should check this thread more often  Well my season ended on Mother's day. I think I got about 60ish days in? Lack of snowfall meant a lot of time spent in the park. I mostly rode Mt High since I didn't feel like shelling out money to ride elsewhere when conditions were so crappy. |

60 days?!! I think I got maybe 12 days...most of them at Mammoth then a few days in UT. I didn't go to Mt. High at all last season...didn't feel like dealing with the crowds for some reason, got lazy since it's a lot closer to go to Angeles shooting range to shoot precision rifles which I really got into.

Funny thing is the crowds never materialized at Mt High last season because of the lack of the snow. Most weekends I got there around 9:30 and I was able to park in the lots and I feel like the lines never really extended past the turnstyles. This season I'm aiming for 100 days since I'll no longer be a student and be a bum. |
