Hey guys, I've decided its time to get a new board.. not that mine is in that rough of shape, but i have the cash to do it and its been a few years...
anyway, ive been riding for 12 years, im 6 foot 4, 260 lbs it will be used primarily for riding glades at jay peak, vt... i dont hit the park very often, if ever. Im pretty confused by all the new camber designs etc, could anyone reccomend some decks for a big guy like me? I need a wide board also.. I currently ride a burton bullet 164 wide. |

Don't approach a goat from the front, a horse from the back, or a fool from any side..

Wow I really like the k2 slayblade.. also looking at the arbor roundhouse.
I want to get bindings as well, so I can start a quiver.. It seems harder to find legit info on bindings as far as what is better for different types of riding. I don't want to buy burton. I want to branch out into other companies since my setup now is purely burton. Is there anything good to be said about the k2 cynch bindings? Union bindings? |

About the bindings: yes, and yes. I have tried the cinches, they are easy entry for kiting and have two pair of unions with no complaints. I also have some burton bindings and they are great - don't just deny yourself good equipment that already works for you because you want to jump on a brand bandwagon. I also like Ride bindings. It really comes down to what you want to get out of your bindings. Are you sure you need a "quiver?" You might be better served by getting two all-purpose boards that cover all your needs. My powder board is also my all-mountain board, and it'll work in the park on jumps as well. It doesn't jib, but that's not why I bought it...I have a short stiff twin if I feel like messing around in the park all day...but it holds its own on the rest of the hill as well. I do have more boards, but these two are the ones I ride pretty much all the time. The only other one that sees regular use is an old lamar board that I can take to the streets if I feel like destroying a board and it does just as well as my buddy's capita that cost 6 times as much. |

to straighten something up for you about the camber designs your confused about... your going to want the normal camber reverse camber is mainly for park and crusing makes buttering easy. which it doesnt sound like you do your going to wwant a stiffer board that is normal camber id say 6 or stiffer
