Mountain Creek

I was there yesterday and it was a circus North & South (south was worst).  Everyone from their kids and grandparents were there (no joke).  Conditions were kinda slushy, and too much traffic on the hill from people falling all over the place and every skier taking WIDE SLOW carves .  Don't know how it was today but since it's the weekend and still have warm'ish weather, conditions may be the same.  If you have a season pass go have fun and stay in Granite (less crowded).   If you have to pay, go somewhere bigger or wait for the weekend to end and go on a weekday morning since HS starts  (assuming you're not in HS).

Granite is the place to be for the sollitude. And to tell you the truth I love Mountain Creek, even with crappy conditions. I just love to be able to get on the mountain almost everyday of the week.

does anyone know if there half pipe is open this year..i wanna learn

a lot of my friends don't like mtn creek because it can get crowded but the mtn itself is really nice (especially the park area). we like to go there when we want to go somewhere close since its only about 1.5 hour drive from us. hunter/windham is about an hour farther but they're pretty nice too.

i bought the triple package deal. I cant wait to go...

It's too crowded in the weekends, prolly alil better now that school started....

If you go to Hunter MT go midweek it is awesome, zero wait to get on the lift and the slopes are pretty empty. I have work in the week, but if you want to really enjoy the mountain, take a day off and go midweek

On the weekend hunter mt is a zoo just like Mountain creek
Camelback is pretty good but busy on the weekends

mountain has been pretty great during the day due to the storm. It gets icy at night though 

haha my friend and i make an annual resolution every season not to go to creek. usually we crack and go sometime midweek. south peak is good if you like park, i remember they had a nice jump line last year.

Dude, that is ridiculous. People are nuts. I don't find creek so bad for the park, and early in the mornings on Sundays and around noonish during the week it is empty and nice. The past couple weeks have sucked though thanks to that rain/ice storm crap we had.

^that storm screwed everywhere up. Any mountain not committed to making snow to resurface wont recover well until warm temps come in.

creek was SICK today! jumps were SO good! no crowds and good weather. GREAT SUCCESS!

last time i went during a christmas break weekend i waited literally an hour and a half for a lift ticket. the experience was horrible. lift lines were ridiculous. regular weekends suck there, its way too overcrowded....presidents day weekend i can only imagine will be the same. on the contrary tho, i have gone on non-holiday weekdays and its been empty and a good time.

I was at the Creek today, and it was the single best day I've ever had there.

Creek is having an awesome season this year. I feel like they are bragging about new snow weekly on facebook.

If it hasn't snowed in a week and there is teen temps, if it has thawed and refroze, or late weekends without new man-made it'll be like that pretty much anywhere around here. Just have to pick the right time to go (obviously weekdays are better if possible - unless it snows over the weekend)
