For some reason it has actually gone down here to $3.85 for 93 octane and is pretty cheap for the rest.

I heard it was because of Sandy because the east coast won't be needing any gas anytime soon or at least can't.

I read an article today on Yahoo that said in parts of the country the gas could go down to around $3/ gallon due to impact of Sandy.

Oh wow I figured that they would increase due to storms since it threatens the refineries off shore. I checked the yahoo page and saw the report you were talking about. Its hard to believe when you would think people need more gas for generators when the power is out, or for large vehicles when its time to clean up and get around in the mess left behind. But hopefully it stays generally low for a while.

^It's strange that even tho demand is no lower here in CA and we have our own formula, prices are managing to drop too in the wake of the storm. I won't get my hopes up too high for under $3 gas, but that would be an awesome way to kick of the snow season! Currently $3.81 here, so a ways to go still.

Funny how when natural disasters happen (Sandy) gas usually goes up. The election coming up has kept prices low. Who is really in control of prices?

Denver dropped to $3.39. Sandy may be the first natural disaster that actually lowered the price of gas. I feel bad for all of the east coaster's though, I've seen several of the pictures with the people lined up for blocks waiting for gas.

^Speaking of Shell, their website says they will be rolling out 2013 2 for 1 ski vouchers again! Also, I was wrong. Gas didn't bottom out yet. $3.69 at Arco yesterday.

3.89 per gallon today not bad.. the gas station had a 3.79 sign but in small print.. it was the cash price, (it was a chevron) I wasn't aware some places still charge more for using credit/debit cards..

just hit $3.99 at fred meyer here. it's been in the 4.20s for a while and higher before that.
i remember the summer it was 2.07, a few years ago... and i also remember it being 1.80 something as a kid and everyone was freaking out at how "expensive" that was, at the time.

$3.65 at Arco, but if you need to use your credit card the nearby Chevron is still $3.89. Best to carry cash with you.
