Well after 5 years, I am ready to propose to my girlfriend. We are visiting a friend in Denver for a week, and going to Arapahoe and Loveland while we are there. Anyone know of the perfect place to propose out there? Or even a romantic hotel in the area?

before going into detail, do yourself a favor and ask yourself are you both on the same page? you ready, is your gf ready to take the next step? have you thought about how awkward it will be when she say no? not to be a jerk, but do you really have to do it on a trip to visit your friend?
why can't you plan out a trip for just two of you guys and start from there? this is a serious thing to do and you can't just like "oh well, i'm on my way to my friend, why not propose to my gf the same time?" how romantic it is??? just saying.

that will be funny if she say no, not because she doesn't love you, it just randomly hit her unprepared and crap go to the other direction. we all think love will let us do what-ever, however and whenever we want. but in reality, crap happened before we realized it.

So this is what my husband wanted to do when he proposed....We went on a trip and when we were at the top of the hill (strapping in), he was going to tell me something was up with my binding and help me out with it. He was going to get down in front of me and propose.
This is how he did it... we went to dinner and when we got back to the hotel room, with our dog in the middle of us, he proposed.
I honestly don't know what I'd prefer better. I liked the easy of it all, but I'm really low maintenance. I would definitely call ahead though... doesn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, i would say somewhere near the top, with a good view, but not a place that is real crowded...unless you are into that sort of thing. I will give you a little word of advice...when i proposed to my wife last year in VT, it was a pain in the ASS to try to get her to stop in a good spot, or any spot at all with out giving it away. i guess that is the pain of proposing to a ski junky...ahhahh. after 2 days of trying, i ended up just doing it on our hotel room balcony. at least it was facing the mt! ha! it's cool though, she said yes, and we did keg stands afterwords with her family.
