So, I'm new on this site... And I was wondering is there like a chart that shows what items you can get for your points? And do you have to pay the shipping and handeling fees on free items?

Although you can get around having to pay shipping by buying other stuff.

pretty much, it'll be free shipping when you buy the other stuff (that's $50 and more in total) so whatever you get is an added bonus (tshirt, goggles, etc.)

This thread is kinda old, but it fit's my question:
Say I get 200pt and get a coupon for a free tShirt. If I redeem the coupon, does it take my 200pts away? Like, do I need to "save up" my points to get the coupon for googles? |

F@ck me! I totally agree with rzero. The point system needs to be trashed. Just give every member an automatic 10% discount and be done with it and then maybe things can start to improve around here The point system is a f@cking disaster! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

i dont know maybe if they get rid of the stupid randomnes thread sports thread and stuff like that it will be ok. ive only been on here a month and ive gotten some really helpful information. maybe we should petition to TruSnow to get rid of the threads that have nothing to do with snowboarding. that way people wont come on post 5 times in the randomness thread and get off.

Did I stir a boiling pot?
Aren't all forums like this? I left my old car forum because it started to get all rediculouse...but all forums end up getting that way, whether you give stuff away for posting or not. That's just the nature of people being bord and having access to the internet at work! |

06- early 10' the forums, staff and entire site was awesome! you could find good information here, have a good time and not get a 600% spike in traffic everyday at 3pm pst. It was smaller and more interactive among users. This built a core group of users that have in the past 6 months seemed to slowly fade away with the sudden obsession of getting points for free gear, random posts like this asking about it. just frustrating

Ah...I see.
Well, I intend to be an active member on these forums as the group here seems really good and I just started boarding this season. I have to admit, the way I found this site was the free giveaway, but since I just bought a new board/bindings, I'm no longer concerned with the 3'0clock giveaway. But the points do get me coming back everyday, at least to read, instead of once a week or so. What's really funny is that I first saw this site (or sierra snowboards) through doug's how to video's on youtube! I didn't even know there was a forum then! I any event, i know how it goes and I see how it can be, and I appologize if I gave anyone a bad first impression. I look forward to conversing with all of you in the future. |

You know...I just now went throught the first few pages of the forum and can see exactly what you are talking about. A bunch of random ass threads. That is pretty frustrating, and it does seem to be based solely on the posts = prizes.
But then again, every other forum I've ever been on has random ass threads too. But those ones also had threads full of usefull info as well. :( |

Well I mean 50 bucks is worth it if you're getting like 300 dollar board? Right?
