[qoute]Only warning, if you go the download route... they only give you 48
hours to download... make sure you have a good enough connection to get
everything! Especially if you buy the package... it's a couple GB to
download.[/quote]
I could only get 47KB down from them on my 6MB DSL. Customer Support was very helpful and reset my downloads twice for me. |

Just ordered my videos for my birthday!
The full pack and the beginner disc. The TruSnow discount got me 10% off the full order PLUS 6 months free of the subscription service! On their subscription site right now they already have 2 videos...one for riding POW and the other on 50/50 and straight airs! So I JUST made my purchase and already have a couple vids before the DVDs even get here! WOO HOO! |

You have to cancel or else they will automatically charge you the yearly fee.
If you want, you can just not add the subscription thing when you check out. It says "Your purchase qualifies for a free 6 months of the subscription service. Would you like to add it?" |

Still waiting for my DVDs to get in, but they added a new vid to the download section: "How to ride Half Pipe"
The "Straight Airs & 50/50s" video is still up but the "Riding Pow" video has been removed. Glad i downloaded it when I did! |

The Straight Airs & 50/50 vid is back, I just downloaded it with my subscription. The only problem is that this stuff has already been covered in their other videos. Nothing new here if you have their freestyle and beginner vids.

Yeah...it was the Riding Pow video that was taken down.
I just got the full set so haven't gone through everything, but I was under the impression the download ones were "updated" versions? And I think the how to ride pipe is totally new. Unfortunately, I play all my DVDs on my Xbox360, and they must have used lower quality discs on a couple of them because my "How 2 Ride" and "Powder" videos won't play in my 360, but they do on my PC. I emailed them to see if they would send me new copies or something... |

PROPS to Snowboard Addiction!
I emailed them Monday about the 2 discs not playing in my Xbox360. They got back to me via e-mail in 2 DAYS! Not bad at all!. They said they had never heard that problem reported before, and asked if I would send the discs back so they could check them and they would send me 2 replacements. Cool. But then they also set me up with a download link for all the materials on the DVDs I had! AWESOME! I downlaoded all the .mp4 videos in about 15 minutes (on my 15mb connection) and were happy to find out that they would stream from my Win7 Media Center to my Xbox360, so I could still watch them in the living room! SCORE! Only bad thing is now I'm thinking I should have purchased the download version for half price instead of the full priced DVDs!

I was able to download everything including the switch videos and the extra new videos within a hour. I haven't even watched any of the videos yet though except for buttering. |

Just a heads up...if you buy the freestyle DVD, the "data/manuals" disc actually has .mp4 video files of both volumes of jumping and both volumes of jibbing videos. BONUS! They play on my blackberry!
Oh, and I got the learn to ride one mainly for the board setup bonus vid...but that vid is also included on a few of the other discs, like the buttery stuff vid. |

I've been wanting to get these, just $100 seems like alot. For everyone who got these, did you feel like you got your money out of it?
P.S. I'm not going to buy the dl one because I would want to watch it a couple different places not just on my computer. edit: just added to cart in the store and after I gave them my info it went to 102.90 so that's 16.50 shipping. |

I got the freestyle ones, and they're done pretty well. I've got them loaded on my phone, and I can review what I want to work on while I'm riding up to the mountain.
They don't replace taking an actual lesson though; videos can't watch you and tell you what you're doing wrong. |

Alot of the basics you can practice on your carpet.
They are really good, but I don't know if they are worth $100. The download is the way to go. totally worth $60. I have them on my PC and windows media center will stream them to my xbox360. The quality of the video for the DL version are pretty close to the full DVD copies. Plus, if you get the download, you can always burn them to a DVD to play somewhere else. |

It'll probably take longer to download the vids then to burn them LOL!
Most of them are 40+ minutes but some are only 20min or so. And if you don't burn the bonus vids (some are quick and some are 20+min) then it shouldn't take to long. |

Dvds play regular or goofy.
Downloads you pick one or the other. Most vids are actually recorded regular and they just flip the vid for goofy. Works great. You can see when there is text in the back like a sign or something that is reveversed for goofy. |

Just shoot them an email.
I had an issue with 2 of my DVDs not playing in my XBox. They got back to me within 2 days and said they would send me new discs if I sent the old ones back, but also hooked me up with the download link. I said that was good enough so neither one of us were out more shipping dollars. I'm sure they will make it right. |

Just wanted to mention that they relesed a new download in the subscribers section today: Street Style Rails and Hips.
So currently, if you buy the videos, you get a free 6 months to the subscribers area, and right now they have 3 videos in the subscribers area: "Riding Pipe", "Straight Airs & 50/50s", and "Street Style Rails and Hips". Along with the TruSnow discount, I really don't think you can beat this deal!

I bought the downloads 2 years ago so I have all the jibbing and jumping ones but thinking of buying the subscription now. So if you are a subscriber, do you get to access everything they have in the program?
side note.. i always thought the logo of the needle was pretty bold for their message of 'addiction'. Guess it hasn't really been an issue with corporate sponsors and their success. Don't get me wrong, i think they have great videos, its just you don't really see stuff like that for logos. |

I'm glad I got the DVDs but I think the download option is a better deal. You can always burn the .m4v videos they send you onto a disc yourself if you need to. The only benefit to the DVDs vs. download is the DVD has chapter skip points to you can easily skip to the section you want to watch, and the DVDs include both regular and goofy so you can let your friend borrow the discs no matter which he is. The download makes you choose one or the other. The one guy I go with and my daugher are both regular so we can all use the ones I have.

MrMeaty, thanks for the info regarding the differences between the DVD's and downloads. I didn't know you had to pick regular or goofy when sellecting the downloads. I figured I'd buy the DVD's so I could watch them on my computer at work if I needed to. Like you said, you can always burn them to a disc.

Just a reminder for anyone who has ordered and got the free subscription, if you don't want the subscription anymore make sure to cancel before your 6 months is up otherwise they'll automatically charge you $27 for renewal. My renewal was set for early August... caught it in time!

It's not a magazine. It's a subscription that allows you to download any new videos they make. They have made 3 new videos since I made my purchase in April. So in just 3 months, I've received 3 new videos for free. If they keep up this pace, I might actually keep the subscription!

Just watched the hand plant video...the tips they give you really give you the confidence to try this stuff out! I mean, I don't think I would have even TRIED handplants, but the tips they give starting out on flat ground, and how they show you doing the exact same move onto a slope just makes it look so easy!
