so, my girlfriend is thinking of buying a season pass when they go on sale on march 14th, cuz she saw this
http://blog.skiheavenly.com/2011/03/08/important-season-pass-information/ but she was wondering, does special "spring, summer benefits" mean she can use this to ride with next year's season pass for the rest of this season? i know a lot of resorts do this, and i was wondering if anyone knew if this applied to heavenly/northstar, as well? |

I'd call them to make sure, but that's what it sounds like. I did this for my sierra/northstar pass the first year i got it four or five years ago-got to ride all spring on next year's pass. It was a pretty sweet deal. But yeah, I'd just call Heavenly.

The Double Whammy is like that for sure, not sure on the EPIC pass. 95% of all resorts do this for the last month, I'd imagine Vail will follow suit.

Definitely check with Heavenly and make sure that's the case. It would be a definite bonus to ride the rest of this years season on next years season pass. I wish Kirkwood would do that.

Last year, Heavenly let you ride for the rest of the current season and have access to the gondola during the summer when you put a down payment ($49) for the next season's pass. That's how we got our pass and hiked during the summer. Fun times!

It does say $49 down and check back later for more info...
So I'm assuming there are installment payments maybe after the $49 down?

Nope, $49 down now, and then in the fail they charge your credit card the rest. |

my local resort does that - buy now and use it the rest of this season and all of next...plus they include a bunch of perks (hotel discounts, food discounts, discount discounts, etc)

Be careful OP, I actually don't think that the Heavenly pass includes unlimited free Spring riding this year. From how I read it, you only get 2 free spring days this season.
Double check with the resort!

that is true. but the backlash they are getting might change that. already they are backtracking on teh college pass option (or lack of one with the first posting of the sale) and I have a feeling spring riding will be the same, but don't gamble on it. |

it's dumb if they don't offer the spring as part of it. that's what helped make it a great deal.
