isn't it more likely to have a massive cold front and get a ridiculous amount of snow then get very little?
not that i want to get into a so called 'global warming' topic.. |

we went to queenstown last year and they are better then australia. Its still pretty warm over there so you wont need massive clothing. Fergburger is a must for dinner. Remarkables is a must. Coronet is good if they have had a dump.
Night skiing at coronet is a waste of time 1 run is open and they have instructor people in the middle telling you to slow down = too crowded wit slow people. Im going late july when you going |

Haven't been to Reavers lodge so cannot comment on that.
I hope you are there before the 15th of July as that is when NZ school holidays start. Which makes the slopes very packed. (I made this mistake last year.) However I do agree with tangles Fergburger is a definite must for dinner or the 3am walk back to the lodge. As is hitting up winnies for a feed, and a few teapots at world bar (if you turn 18 by then). I found Coronet crowded but better then Buller on a weekend, agree night skiing is a waste of time. Remarks is great when there is a dump, no high speed lifts and they stop them for everyone that falls off dismounting so it can take 15 - 20 mins on a bad day. But a very diverse amount of runs that makes it a good choice. I never got to Cadrona but everyone said it was the pick of the mountains. (Where I am going this year) Treble cone is great for skiers and the advanced boarder I have been told. |
