Snowboard jacket help

   I currently have Foursquare snowboarding pants from 2 years ago.  I would like to know if the gate system on them is universal between brands?  Or do I have to stick with Foursquare to get them to connect? 

Either way, I am looking for a jacket for really cold days, preferably gray in color.  What can you recommend?  Also, I am 5'11" with a slim build at 170 lbs, so my size would be medium correct?

	It is not universal between brands. I would recommend Burton AK and then layering up underneath.
