Know the rules of the mountain(theres always a sign) and have common curtsey. There are way to many douche bags already.
Try to fall up hill, if you can, this way you wont catch your edge and hurt yourself.

2) People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.

3) You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.

4) Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look up hill and yield to others.

5) Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.

6) Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

7) Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

Learn how to stop first and stay in control. Find your center of balance going down on your heelside edge, then transition to falling leaf movements, then falling leaf to one direction and the other. Then work on toeside turns. Use your front arm/shoulder to guide you. Wherever you are pointing with your front arm is the direction you will go. Good luck, wear a helmet.
