No...it was black through and through. Just a couple of yellow peices left. Stunk up the house and even set off the smoke alarms!
Anyway, you guys need to check out http://foodporndaily.com/ and http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicMealTime

Funny, my wife burns microwave popcorn, too, and the house reeks for quite a while. Why do women not understand that you need to listen while the popcorn is getting nuked? Turn the thing off when 2-3 seconds go by without a pop. Sure, you get some unpopped kernels but you also get un-burnt popcorn.

well, our old microwave had a popcorn setting with a sensor and it worked every time. The new microwave has a popcorn button as well but it don't work for crap so I can't blame her entirely...

this sensor thing is pretty interesting...was it acoustic or something diff? i wonder if it sensed burning stuff. sorry...this is appealing to electronic geeks such as myself. i always figured the popcorn button was just a pre-timed setting that was standard for most, like 2:20 or something like that |

popcorn sensor? thats amazing technology that l didnt even know existed. the thing about girls though, it says, do it for 4min or whatever, we do 4 min at let it do its thing without worrying because we go and do other stuff meanwhile instead of standing beside it.

What's the roll on the right? What's on top of it?
Yeah, I think my new microwave just does a regular time, but the old one had some sensor...not sure if it was acoustic or heat, cause it had a reheat sensor as well. Really good. I brought it to work so I can check out the model and what not and do some google serching. LOL!

That is the Uni Nigiri (sea urchin sushi) that I was asking about. Definitely not for everyone, but a very interesting acquired taste. |

Best sushi spot here in Vegas is Naked Fish, and the lunch special deal isn't to bad, but any other time besides lunch during the week is very expensive. There are a couple decent all you can eat joints but I have never had better sushi in Vegas then at Naked Fish...really wish they had an all you can eat!
Oddly enough, I was going through all my facebook photos and did not see any I posted from there :(

Leftover cold Round Table pizza is my fave for breakfast before snowboarding. Eating as much of their pizza as I can while I can since I read that they're hanging by a thread and could go bankrupt.

ahahah really though, that looks amazing. messy as all hell, but damn good. There is a place here in town that makes a good pie. Their newest one is the hell fire pie. do you guys like Chicago Style deep dish pizza? I had some supposed chicago style and was not a fan at all untill I wen to Chicago and had it propper. Ever since then I was looking for a local spot that did it right, and my buddy who's wife is from chicago told me about Rosati's. I guess it's a chain, but they do Chicago Style deep dish pizza right. Got us a medium and the thing felt like it weighed 30lbs!

Home grown (on the roof of the restaurant) spinach salad, with homemade sweet poppy seed dressing, house cured bacon pieces, red onion, and pan seared salmon. So.Good.

LOL@ batmanwest!
I just saw your signature and was picturing someone from a different thread reading it! Salmon looks very well prepared, by the way, but what do you mean by "the restaurant" @tomek: that was the 10" which is $15 but the 8" is only $7! |

I like to confuse. what do you mean by "but what do you mean by "the restaurant""? Not sure if I am really following you there....like what is the name of the place? If so it's call "TipTop" The salmon WAS very well prepared. They pretty much nail every single dish they do. Christ...you should see the pot roast these kids make there...oh....hell. Sooooo good. They also do a killer blackened Tilapia with parmesan risotto. |

Ah...it sounded like you worked at or owned a restaurant and had a private stash of homegrown veggies on the roof! LOL! But I see you meant they were grown atop the restaurant that cooked the dish...got it. So here is my last of the evening...the garlic knots that I had with the iron man pizza were HUGE! ![]() |

Ahh....hit your five posts for the day I see...? ![]() I wish I owned the place, or any place for that matter. What sucks is I am almost completely burnt out on the food there...which sucks even more because they have some REAL killer dishes. Just been going there too often. I like that all the veggies (when weather allows) on the menu come from their roof. All meats from area farmer, and so on. That freshness really comes out in all dishes. |

LOL! naw...I went WAY OVER my 5 posts today. That was just my last food pic today, but I know what you mean. I think that might be why I think so much of the food up in Reno is so good, because I only go up every few months so I'm anxious to eat at the places I don't get to every day.
There are plenty of GREAT places to eat here in Vegas, but I'm just so used to it all so it doesn't seem as exciting any more. But speaking of freshness, I ate at a place in San Francisco once that said their Alaskan King Crab legs were flown in fresh that morning by helicopter from Alaska...how crazy is that?

crazy enough that I would hate to see how much they cost. There is no way that was even remotely fair priced. ....and why a helicopter. No way that was the most efficient way to go about this. My mind is in a knot now... |

That's OK...thanks for starting the thread! I had the BEST italian sub today from Chicago Joe's a couple blocks from my office. I've had it once before awhile back and it was everything I remembered it to be. I couldn't take a pic today because I was out with some lawyers, a judge and my father-in-law, but I may go back tomorrow to get another with a pic for you!
