I am looking to plan a trip for a group of about 6 (3 girls/guys)to somewhere outside of the States. Was thking the Alps; have already been all over the US and Canada.
We are all in our 30's; looking for a classy resort but not anything snooty...just fun, good conditions and people our age. We can spend some money, but we arent looking for the most expensive options either. We are all intermediate level riders/skiers. Suggestions? |

What is your budget? If you want some honest answers you probably need to mention how much you'd be willing to split. Alps is doable, Megeve is really famous, if not the best place to be for the French Alps..but it can be very expensive. Chamonix is pretty sweet, too. I think it hits Italy.

Id say 3k all-in for about a week; 3-4 days of lift tickets? Ideally id liek to get it in under 2500. I just looked at flights to Switzerland, France and Italy and they all came in around 650 from NYC. I think the best time for us to go is a day or two after Christmas and come back on the 2nd or 3rd. I think our biggest concern is going somewhere where there are less families and more young people/singles. |

Austria would be well worth looking in to, plently of bacpacker/younger types will be there. Plenty of resorts to choose from, and good party scene.
Not sure on specific resorts but a friend did multiple seasons there and loved it, met others who rate it very highly as well. (Late 20's age bracket FYI). I had an email that listed his suggested resorts but I must have deleted it, will try and track him down. |

So where you was? O you still don't know about ski place?
I recommend Alps! Was there last year and will go there next year too. St.Anton very good! And there are many other good ski resorts too. Also you can go to Norway or Sweden but not so big mountains there. |
