Hey everyone. A buddy and I are planning to ride in Utah again as we had a blast last year in The Canyons and Park city but this year want to try somehwere new. We're flying out early December from Chicago and will get to ride 3 days in the area. We're picking up the Salt Lake Super Pass for a deal and the question is where should we ride for the 3 days available? The choices are Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton and we're wondering if we should spend each day at a different resort or is there one we should avoid as snowboarders? Any opnions and info would be greatly appreciated as we've never ridden any of these mountains. Thanks everyone

I've only ridden Brighton and the Canyons. Both were fun, but I think I like the Canyons more.

Brighton> The Canyons. Snowbird is worth the time too.

So should we just stay between Snowbird and Brighton and completely ignore Solitude?

i think a lot will depend on the weather at the time. early december = not a ton of snow in some places. however, snowbird will have more than others, generally.

snowbird i like the best by far. But if you want park, dont go there. the park isnt that great. At least when i was there. But the backside of snowbird is amazing. You could also see how long u last at Alta. Even though you already went to park city, its not a bad idea to go again.

Utah has a lot of ski resorts and I think Brighton is the most family-friendly of them all.
My 8 year old son developed his ski passion there and he simply love the magic carper lift. Well, me myself was a beginner when I first stepped there. There are no famous moguls there but the terrains are plenty and I mean plenty. For their accommodations you can visit their site: http://www.brightonresort.com/ And you can also read this brief review here for more info: http://www.mountainyahoos.com/SkiResorts/Brighton-UT.html |

I checked trip advisors and it turns out that Deer Valley and Alta both prohibit snowboarding.
