The French alps. If your in Southwest Germany there is couple of awesome resorts there about half an hour across the border. And its not too expensive.

there are several busses that do day trips to austria.... there should also be a couple threads in the international part of the forum.... |

You can get a pass for the whole of Tirol for one year for that money....and that means you can ride stubai,kaunertal,pitztalglacier even in mai etc.
