I have been skiing since I was 15 and now being 21 im getting bored of it and want to try boarding out, now it would be easy if i was normal size but of coarse my luck im not lol.
Height 6'6 Weight 235 Boot 15 :( So i have come to realize that its going to be hard to find a board that would be good for all mountain that would be wide enough for me. So i was hoping that you guys could help me out in pointing me out some good boards, binding, risers, and boots for me and also some advice on how to enjoy boarding the most even with my crutch of big feet :( |

nitro makes boards that go pretty wide....
the magnum model is made specifically for bigger riders. the 161 and 165 both have a WW of 274....

Hitman, its better now than ever to be a large foot rider, because wide boards are becoming easier to find and you arent restricted to something like a fatbob by K2 anymore. and as derbytownjoe said, nitro makes a lot of wide boards here is their website http://nitrousa.com/men/snowboards

Even with a 274 waist he's going to have mad toe hang. I feel bad for you Hitman. I'm a size 13 and I've got a brother that's about your size, nothing seems wide enough. I may have to check out those Nitros myself. While there's boards out there that will work, it still sucks being limited to a few boards just because you've got some big dogs.

Well i got myself a SIMS Protocol 163W its actually pretty wide and i do have a good amount of toe hang but ill just have to get used to how deep i can carve on my toe side, ill just have to make my heel side the most used lol. I did squeeze into a size 14 boot, i figure i will get more room the longer i wear it. But the toe hang isn't that bad to be honest so im happy about it plus the board cost me 90 bucks since i got a managers discount on it

I don't know what boot you have right now, but if you decide to stick with boarding, you could try squeezing into a size 14 Burton boot with shrink tech, then you'd technically be down at a size 13, which should make things manageable. Good luck with your current set up. Hopefully you'll have a good time and stick with boarding
