Binding Placement- Help-

I'm a little bit of a nub so bare with me :D

So I noticed the binding holes on the board (not a burton w/ channel board) are not centered evenly. The holes in the back are placed further toward the tail vs the holes on the tip.

When you put your bindings on, do you put them on evenly on the board, or is one binding closer to the back?

Like something like this?:

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I would really like to know if i'm putting my bindings on correctly or not.

You mount your bindings whatever the way that makes you feel comfortable to your riding style...Any stance and width is entirely up to you and what offers you the best support that will accommodate the terrain you decide to ride on.

stance width is a fairly personal preference....

May want to center them if you're doing freestyle or working on switch riding.
If there's powder on the slopes then set them back (you can also put them even further back a bit if it's deep) so you don't kill your legs trying to keep the nose up.

They are set back for all mountain riding.  It makes turn initiation easier, and carving a bit smoother.  Also the pow thing.  Your board is a directional board.

Joe summed it up.  You have an all mountain board.  Set back slightly will be good for powder and general riding.

I've got a twin board and currently set to be evenly centered angles are the same as well.  I'd still say i'm a beginner so I'm still trying to find where its most comfortable and best angles.. i'll admit i'm not trying very hard =p that and I don't ride as much as I want to, to try different stances.

Since your board is directional, unless your riding a lot switch no sense in fighting the natural setback. Place it  at a comfortable width so they're even on the inserts and not trying to get it centered on teh board.

Truth is, this board is meant to be directional. FOr the majority of riders, this is great for carving and having fun. You really only need a centered stance if you plan on riding park rails or riding switch.

That being said however, I am so used to my evenly spaced park setup, that I ride a centered stance on my "mountain" board. I only consider bumpoing my stance back in deep powder.

If you are just carving, leave your stance back - with directional boards, a directional stance will make your board perform the best. The sidecut, flex, and contact points on these are designed to be used with a setback stance.
