if you have a few people coming with just get a limo, for $500 you can get a limo (or less for an escalade). What day are you going and how many people are you traveling with?

I used to drive Limo, and take people up there all the time from Vancouver or YVR (I would then park the limo and ride for the day, your driver might have his gear on the front seat, hahaha). There are tons of limo companies that offer YVR to Whistler service in Vancouver, spend a few minutes calling around and see what kind of rate you can get. Talking to some of the people who I know that still work in the industry they aren't that busy right now, so there might be an even better deal to be had. But the rate was around $500 (all in including tip and tax) for a Limo and around $450 for an Escalade. It's way nicer than the bus and not that much more money.

you can rent a car for a day and return it at the village. If your lodging has free parking then I would just rent for the whole stay. it ended up costing me the same price.

i think AVIS does that. I rented from budget and it was way cheaper than doing the one-way car rental.

i think rental is your cheapest bet, BUT l'm pretty sure the rental stops at 10pm so you'll probably have to wait till next morning service, at 6 if l am not wrong

When you say shuttle bus do you mean those big buses? like the greyhound?
That's what I was going to suggest they sell bus tickets right out of YVR.
and 500-$450 is cheap?! damn didn't realize the ride up there was so expensive |

I'd reccommend a rental car cuz you can prolly get up there faster then the bus. Only thing is you'd be looking at $20/day for hotel parking.

call the rental company to verify what time they close. some are open 24hrs. And unless its really bad weather, you wont need 4wd. the drive up sea-to-sky highway is pretty awesome. its a shame you'll be doing it in the dark.
does your lodging have free parking? something to consider if youre keeping the car for you whole stay. |

booked a private van direct from whistler. it's only like 350, split by however many people and it's really not a bad deal.

Bus can run 75-90 per person (depending on time of year), so when you have 6+ people it can actually be cheaper.
