I love that you brought up killer whales.  How many people have ever been attacked by a killer whale outside of sea world

I hate wakeboarding (heavy slams, spray in your eyes, boat exhaust, oil slicks, noise, stupid ass rope, etc)...so, yeah, pretty much everything is better than wakeboarding, imo.

If a killer whale gobbles you up while you're wakeboarding... then it was meant to be.  Just hope that someone was filming it, because it would be the most amazing thing ever.  That was a really cool vid.  Completely unneccessary, but cool nonetheless.

I would say that i also prefer snowboarding but its not a bad thing in the absence of snow. the best part of wakeboarding (grilling, chilling on the beach) is the worst part of snowboarding. Like the beach at A basin when the season is wrapping up still fun but just kinda sucks. here is another cool wakeboarding vid.

wake boarding is the shit! seem like there were a lot of hater on this thread. all board sports are just as bad ass. I wakeboard in the summer, snowboard in the winter, and skateboard all throughout the year. liking winter or summer board sports doesn't mean you have to hate the other.

All board sports are sick, wakeboarding is a close second behind snowboarding only because of the amount of terrain you can cover on a snowboard

i enjoyed this trailer. forgot about this thread. glad its still snowboarding season. when ill the snow is gone ill be ready for this again.

some cool videos on this thread, wake boarding in the summer ain't that bad if you ask me. I prefer a snowy mountain, but when that is lacking, this is a great alternative!

Glad this thread was ressurected from the dead, pretty cool video. Missed it the first time around. I can't imagine how many close calls that doods had with icebergs laying 6" under the surface.

cool videos, my friends have been  wakeboarding every summer, I have no real desire to try it. 

definitely try it if you have the chance. Not as much freedom as snowboarding. The falls will be harder at first because you have to go a minimum speed. However, try it over longboarding if you want to stay healthy... I personally have had more injuries longboarding than any other board sport.
