Topic: Who's Ready For Some FOOTBALL 2012/2013 Season! Posted: Nov/09/2012 at 7:22am |

It amazes me commentators compare athletes on the color of there skin. Last night Mike Mayock said most talent scouts are surprised at how athletic Luck actually is, even though his 40 time was the same as Newtons and his verticle jump and braod jump were off the charts too. Luck is always compared to white Qbs like Elway and Manning even though he's much more athletic than both of them. RG3 is compared to Vince Young and Scam Newton. Even the same with Tebow, they had to go way back and compare him to white Qb who played over 30 years ago that ran a spread option.

I just wish color would make its way out of culture. Even someone who isn't a racist does stuff like your examples. They don't realize that they are perpetuating the problems.
Another one: take Marc Mariani (Wideout/Kick Return Specialist for the Titans). He's usually compared to Wes Welker, because they are both white guys.

So who's every ones pick for the BEARS VS TEXANS game? Since it'll be raining at Soldier Field and knowing how our ground sucks, I give the Bears the advantage on this one. We already have a solid rush D and that wet grass probably won't help out Foster.

This is gonna be a good one. Two of the NFC's powerhouses with great defenses. I'm gonna go with texans, but its gonna be close

Uhh Texans are AFC. But yea, if I was a betting man my money would be on them too. Should be a pretty good game.

Admittedly still on the fence.. But Foster's strength really doesnt come from running east-west. He's strictly north-south, so juking, spinning, and getting to the corner don't really come into play. He'll just have to make sure he hits the hole when it gets there and has sufficient momentum to do so.

Dude do you watch him run the ball at all. Hell yeah he jukes. The guy has great vision, so he definitely finds the holes and jukes to get into and through them. So he's definitely not strictly a power runner who only goes forward. I think you need to watch some highlights of his through out this season.
Here's one example of him juking the hell out of someone, and guess who that someone was, Polamalu. Definitely not easy getting past him, so you know that was a dirty juke. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfm8dJF7CpY

The entire game. just wow. I don't know what to say. Both teams had their chances. I'm pretty upset that the second fake punt made it although it was a brilliant play design. Rams messed their chances up in OT with their penalties, but I just with the niner's had capitalized. Such a frustrating game to end with a TIE. On another note, although it came by the saints, i'm still glad the falcons got their first loss. I refused to believe that they were that good

Jeff Fisher cost his team a game today, why the hell did he call a timeout with 1:15 left on the clock when they had the ball on the 3 with 1st down? WTF was he thinking.

This Bears Texans game has it all!
Well.... it has a lot of punts. Nothing more exciting than exchanging three and outs. Loves me some punts. Punts and mud.
Seriously Chicago, what's with that field?

its like every good team went mentally challenged this weekend or something. did they forget that they actually have to play games to win them. they are embarrassing themselves with such poor gameday effort, college and pro alike.

Anyone else enjoy watching Von and the Broncos D destroy Cam all game long? That guy's ego is off the charts, and even know I'm sure he blames that loss on the team and not himself.

Von Miller is a beast. I think he's giving Patrick Willis a run for his money for best linebacker in the league.

I loved seeing Von do Cam's Superman impression after he sacked him. Bronco's D is coming along, the secondary is even looking good. Much improved safety play this year.

The only thing that would have made that game better is if Decker would have caught a TD, needed an extra 6 pts . Von definately is in the defensive player of the year hunt right now behind JJ Watt. Holliday is our best return man since, well who the hell knows how longs it been. Can't wait to end San Diegos season this Sunday.

That was great but my favorite was actually the second sack he got where he just took Cam down hard got up and walked away like it was business as usual

They didn't yesterday. Frankly i was shocked when i saw the score was still 10-3 despite the 4 turnovers. I will say that Campbell did a pretty admirable job coming in as backup in those dreadful conditions (a deflated crowd, terrible weather, and an even worse condition of the field). Schaub was certainly less than stellar, and if it wasn't for Foster recapturing his running game, the Texans could have very well lost that one. I say "recaptured" because for a while there, the Bears D had him COMPLETELY contained. But he had some very strong, drive-enduring runs in the late 3rd and throughout the 4th. And for the record, i DO watch a lotta football. I'm not saying he CAN'T move east-west, he just doesn't do it as much as other standout RBs in the league. Point taken in that I shouldn't have said he doesn't juke.. Can't survive in that league without a solid juke step lol

Am I the
only one bothered that the NFL even allows tied games?! In a sport where
each game counts for 6.25% of your season, a tie could be a killer for
any team. Yes, i know they're rare.. but still! We're not spending $50+
per seat to have the clock decide that each team is equally good/bad. As far as the Falcons go.. What the hell is up with their run game?! Jacquizz Rogers had 29 yards on 3 attempts (which should scream "give him the ball more!"), whereas Turner amassed a measly 15 yards on 13 attempts. And only 3 of their 25 first downs were attained by a rushing play. Fairly easy to guard a team when you know what they're doing. blah

No one likes a tie game but its a rare annoyance. Both teams had a chance to win but failed To make FGs. I wouldn't worry about another tie for the next few years. It's still better than a loss.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Me watching at home, I've really got nothing invested in the game. But if i paid to go watch two teams battle it out, I wanna see a victor! I feel completely the other way than Solo does. I think I'd be more disappointed watching a game with a tie result than i would one where my team loses. (except with the Cougs... because at least then they wouldn't be ALL losses lol)

I don't CHEER when players get injured, but i really don't mind so much when Roethlisberger leaves the field. I really detest that guy. In other news with that game, it was nice to see KC get the "never led in regulation" monkey off their backs last night. Does kinda suck it didn't result in a win, but atleast they gave themselves a chance. Maybe they'll bring some of that momentum into the game against Cincy this week :)

indeed...at least we're still UNDEFEATED in our division! i guess it was just a bad day overall...im not sure we'll see alex smith in our next game but i'm cool with CK at the helm...it's just a shame we won't see CK on the field as a WR soon

It wasn't a bad showing at all! Got off to a real hot start, so they can at least have some enjoyable time in the film room this week :). Though, it may make it a bit more difficult to sneak up on teams now! In other news, in the PIT/KC pregame, die anyone notice... Dink and dunk... drink and drunk.. It's all probably the same for Ben lol.

Steelers season just took a huge hit with Big Bens injury, no timetable for his return with a life threatening injury. Wow |
Oh well, they have been in the playoffs too much lately anways. Hopefully it will hurt them enough to miss them this year.

I'm good with that too, most Steeler fans I know are arrogant. They talk all kinds of shit, but when they loose*Cough* Playoffs against Tebow *Cough* they can't take even the smallest jokes.

It sucks that Big Ben went down with the type of injury he did. I've always liked him as a football player, minus the whole Raplesberger thing.
Never a good thing to see "possibly life threatening injury."

Isn't it only life threatening if he is having 300LB dudes trying to tackle him? He will be fine.
