The whole rigged super bowl seems like a bunch of bs. Tim brown quickly took his statement back when Callahan said he might be lawyering up. But who knows, if it's true that's crazy. The real story today is a Jamarcus russel potential comeback.
Since 30/32 of the nfl teams are eliminated. What do you guys want your teams to do in the offseason.

It always seemed to me that romo just couldn't get over that hill to becoming a top 10 qb. He's to inconsistent, he's got to throw to Dez more. I could see jerry trading for Matt Flynn, but besides him idk. It's a weak draft class at the qb, but maybe they get the next russel Wilson.

There is no way this is true. The only thing that gives credit is that multiple players, including Jerry Rice think it has merit.
I just can't figure how a coach would see going that far and then losing to be the ultimate revenge for the organization. Furthermore, the players and coach himself deserved to do their best, and nothing the organization did would make a coach do that.
Plus Tim Brown is crazy.

Not as crazy as any team that would take Jamarcus Russell comeback seriously. I the the guy is just trying to get paid. Can't blame him tho cuz aren't we all?

It pains me to say it too...but I guess I hope the Ravens to win too...I want the Steelers to keep the all time lead of 6 total Superbowls away from the 49ers

What is it with kids today? Kaepernick filed to trademark "Kaepernicking." So anyone can add ing to the end of their last name and trademark it? Just play the damn game.
What's next? Marshawn Lynch to go Lynching? Peyton Manning to go Manninging? LOL

^^ Peyton Manninging? Hmmm... I'm not sure if that will catch on. Lawrence Tayloring? Kind of makes him sound like a seamstress.

Marshawn Lynch should trademark "beast mode"
Hahaha I had to have a good laugh when I read the article on Russell. The closing statement of "I will make it happen" in particular was very amusing

It's merely flexing his arm which basically all players do when they score. If the Ravens win the superbowl does anyone else think Ed Reed will go out with Ray Lewis in style?

I think he already said he isn't going to retire. Comparing the 2 I definitely think Ed Reed has more left in the tank than Ray Lewis. Reeds probably got a few more years left in him.

Possibly. He had the neck injury last year. I thought he was going to retire but I guess its not that serious

This is a good example of why the Brewers and/or Prince Fielder should have trademarked it years ago, so it wouldn't be falsely attributed to Lynch.
I don't care that he did it. This is just part of the business side of sports. If ESPN is going to make money by using the term, it is fair that they share that with him.
Maybe "Kaepernicking" will become a term that refers to unnecessarily trademarking things, but now it is protected from being used.

Does anyone think the Jets are going to trade Revis? If they could get a 1st or a couple 2nd round picks for him, they should consider it.

Heck yeah. I think they're closer to rebuild mode than superbowl contender mode.

On NFL.com they have the Seahawks, purely on opinion, as the best fit for Revis. I think that would be a terrible decision because why fix something that isn't broke? Look what happened at the Eagles when they had all those star corners

He trademarked it so he can sell tshirts and some of the proceeds go to a camp for kids with congenital heart defects. His adoptive patents lost two kids with heart complications. So that's your definition of a loser/douche bag?
Keep in mind. If someone treats you like crap or calls you names, something is wrong with them. Not you. Good people don't go around bringing others down or destroying others.

Looks like even AP thinks he should be the MVP, it wouldn't surprise me if they still gave it to Brady or Manning the NFL poster boys.

Peterson should be the MVP in my opinion, without him the team would be mediocre and he carried them to the playoffs

NFC killing the AFC in the probowl. Surprising since the Niners are in New Orleans.

they should still move the probowl to the end of the season though so SB players could actually play. it sucks that the talent is diluted further (since many players are lost due to injuries).

Only could get through the first quarter of the Pro Bowl. Much better than last year, but still boring when it doesn't matter.

The only interesting thing from the pro bowl was Jeff Saturday playing center for Manning one last time.

Article on NFL.com states that Alex Smiths is going to ask for his release in the off season. Only other OC he had success with was norv turner. Might be reunited with him. Wherever he is.

I can see this happening, the new gm doesn't think weeden is the qb of the future. Bring in Smith for a year and if they suck theres always the 2014 draft which has a good qb selection.

Alex is gonna have to leave cuz he's got no more future at SF. It sucks but it's the reality. There's better qb's than him and tons over ppl just witnessed it

That'll be 1 expensive backup. If hes still on the roster by April 1st hes guaranteed $7.5 million. I would just do what he says he wants and release him in March

I agree, he's not gonna stay here... he's proved that he can start for some teams and other teams desperately need a competent quarterback. kinda sad but that's the reality of it. Highly doubt he's gonna be here next here

The 3rd stringer (Tolzein) isn't bad either. He's more of a pocket passer tho. They'll probably bring back josh johnson next season

I hope Smith does not go to the Bills or Cards. The browns I would like as a fit I think their roster has more upside than the other two mentioned. An article on NFL.com has the Falcons drawing relocation interest from L.A, there is no way Atlanta can let their team leave after many successful seasons

Alex Smith will probably sign with Kansas City, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, or Arizona. For KC it kinda depends on what they wanna do with that #1 draft pick. I think it'd be better for them to sign Smith and draft the best player out there. I mean Vick's also on the market so there are other options for those 4 teams at QB

Smith should go with the team with the best coach available. We know what he was before Harbaugh. Coaching makes a difference.

anybody that takes vick needs to have a serviceable backup because vick will probably only play half of any season. smith might have a chance to play well in kansas city with andy reid. not sure if he'll be any good anywhere else.

Theres no way Vick goes to kc. Vick is a coach killer, he lost Andy the job in philly. I don't anyone will sign Vick, I can see smith going to the cardinals on a 1 or 2 yr deal to make fitz happy.

That be counterproductive for Wilson, the whole year you read about him constantly studying. Vick could of been great if he actually studied and tried to get better, instead he just relied on his skill. Sort of like newton this year, he got lazy.

i dont know about smith going to the browns. i think he would need a better supporting cast in order to be productive. granted he'll have richardson, but even with a roster like the niners he struggled at times (pre-harbuagh)

He struggled after having I think it was 7 successive seasons with different O.C's. I think he has become a much better player over the last couple of years and could succeed for the Browns

The guy is a limited QB and needs a good coach to be successful. He'll be in a tough division if he went to the browns. He couldn't even win a weak division until Harbaugh. Remember Seattle went to the playoffs with a losing record? Won one playoff game and still had a losing record? Yeah, Smiths couldn't even win that division.
