once the bears get a solid offensive line they will do soooo much better. that is one of the things that is really killing them now. cuttler needs more time.

Bears are killin' it alright! 4 forced fumbles by Tillman. That guy is a beast! Everyone's getting a piece of the action. Even old man 'Lacher is juking people for touchdowns, lol.

That game was MURDER! Their defense is a formidable one! Congrats to Urlacher for his 2nd career pick-6 :) . Missed the Seachickens beat up on the Vikings today, as it wrapped up during the drive from the airport to my buddy's place. They stink it up on the road, but with the help of that stadium, might just be the toughest team to play at home. And damn it! Rapelisberger for taking out the Giants today. One of the few picks i got wrong.. but damn it! The Giants couldn't get ANYTHING done correctly in the 4th quarter. Offense was out of sync, and defense was just... absent. Ugh.

^^ the game is too close to call so far. i actually thought the falcons would own the cowboys and yet they only put up 3 points going into the half. definitely surprised.

yup it might end up like the bama game, with it coming down to some big plays in the fourth quarter to take it home.

Falcons are way better than the cowboys. But the cowboys are playing with some urgency. that usually makes teams play better.

I figured so long as Romo didn't throw any picks, the Cowboys had a good shot of winning it. And teetered on picking Dallas in my office "pick em" league.. But figured ATL's defense was still better. Either way, i really didnt' expect it to turn into a field goal contest! Percentage-wise, Dallas is winning that battle. 2 missed FGs in a game for an NFL kicker is a ROUGH day!

Im gonna get really irked if rg3 gets rookie of the year over andrew luck-luck is awesome. Colts are, unbelievably, 5-3 and in the hunt for a possible playoff spot down the road

What's even more surprising is how well Tannehill is playing. I thought he was gonna be a bust but he's decent so far

GO BRONCOS!!!
I love Von, kid is just a pure baller. I was a bit surprised they passed on Dareus but they obviously made the right call. 3 sacks yesterday and getting better in coverage every single game!

^^ My man Peyton shredded the Bungles D with his signature short passes with run support in the 4th.
Now, I thought the game was MUCH closer than it should have been, and Dalton looked great for the most part, but still. Nice win Sir Manning.
Matty Ice looked pretty good last night too.

Haven't felt this good about the Broncos since 98, not sayin we are super bowl bound yet. But its nice to watch complimentary football for a change.

They went pretty far with just their defense last year.... With Peyton, their offense got a HUGE bump.....seems like they might make it all the way

Broncos have a great rest of season schedule which could actually hurt them come playoff time if they make it. It would suck to have a season like Greenbay had last year and get bounced the first playoff game.

Least someone's listening lol. The announcers made that abundantly clear in the game last night! Atlanta's schedule isn't terribly menacing though. Wouldn't mind seeing em go undefeated.. but I'll admit it's still way too early to even talk about that.

With the exception of Baltimore in the mix, yeah. The rest of the AFC west hasn't shown anything that would cause me to say Denver isn't the playoff hopeful for that division. The "easier" (don't look past anyone!) games should allow the team to stay healthy, and the game with Baltimore will be a challenge for em in the mix of things. Keep em honest :)

Yup, coaching and front office.
Garrett is not a good coach, and JJ should not be in charge of player personnel. Garrett should be gone after this year, but the Cowboys won't smell the playoffs consistently until JJ follows Al Davis' lead.

then, it's not the schedule..it's the team itself that you're talking about...because their schedule is pretty darn soft...
the cowboys were very close in the past 2 games, against the giants and the falcons, both playoffs bound teams. one figertip away from beating the giants, and one drive away from the falcons. if they can stay that close to these 2 teams, they should be able to win many of the games against teams with worse records. the defense is doing pretty good, but the offense needs to play better. not sure when murray will be returning, but he would help a lot.

I hope not. I don't think Payton will go to the Cowboys though. I think he likes making his player personnel decisions and Jerry Jones isn't going to give up control of that.

As I'm watching the saints/eagles I can't help but think. If I was Sean Payton, I'd rather have Brees than Romo as my QB. I don't think he's going to the cowboys.

Even with the bounty scandal surrounding him, the Louisiana area loves the guy, the players respect the guy, and I don't see any reason why he'd want to go anywhere. He's already shown he can build a SuperBowl caliber team in LA. Not a whole lot more that Dallas can offer (except more money.. but the guy's already loaded). Did ya guys catch that in his NFL absence, he's been working as an assistant coach for his son's little league football squad? I'm curious what their record is lol As far as the Eagles go, that team is just a mess. They had their chances to make that game close last night, and be it play calling or on-the-field execution, every attempt was thwarted. They're averaging fewer than 20 ppg in all of their losses, worst of all in a division that tends to be able to score. They're entirely out of the playoff picture now. I wouldn't be surprised if Reid was gone by the time they host Dallas this weekend.

I can't imagine any coach really has Dallas at the top of their list what with having Jerry Jones looking over your shoulder the whole time.

Now the million dollar question that everyone cares about, can the Bronco players and coaches smoke weed and not be fined by the league?

Of course they can't. It's the same way baseball players can't take legal performance enhancing substances but are outlawed by the MLB.

I don't know if I would consider PED's in the same category as marijuana. It makes sense to restrict athletes from using drugs that make them better athletes than they naturally are.

it'll depend on what the league rules are. there should be a list of things they can't take. and i'm pretty sure that weed would be on the list.

I'm not categorizing them as the same. But I am saying that the NFL can ban any substance they deem unacceptable. Especially since marijuana is still illegal at the federal level. A federal law enforcement official could arrest your for smoking weed in Colorado even though it is legal at the state level.

A week before Colorado legalizes marijuana, Peyton Manning acquires 21 Papa John’s franchises in the state. Guy can do no wrong.

Completely correct. And the NFL will have NOTHING to do with allowing marijuana use by players/coaches/etc. These people are idols to young and old alike, and specifically with the young, the NFL will not have its name associated with promoting weed to kids. EVER.

Luck has been playing quite well in spite of all the hype that being a
No. 1 pick brings. And I'd bet on Indy being a bit surprised that they
became a contender again so quickly.
I know Jacksonville is terrible, but anyone think they got a shot in tonight's match-up with Indy?

Woa... the line for the game is Indy -3.5... (some have Indy -3). That seems too good to be true. Sucker bet? Colts definitely win this game, but does Vegas realy think it will be close? huh...

Considering the lack of talent that Luck has to work with, he's actually playing much better than RG3.

Considering the lack of talent that Luck has to work with, he's actually playing much better than RG3. |
I wouldn't exactly say that RG3 is surrounded with talent. His best receiver Gracon has been out most of the year. I don't think any of the Redskins backs are better than Ballard or Brown.

I love how easily and quickly sports media changes their mind. A week ago rg3 was all but anointed rookie of the year. Now its between andrew luck, the rightful winner, and the tampa bay running back from boise st. Somehow rg3 went from the reward is in the bag to second runner up
