He struggled after having I think it was 7 successive seasons with different O.C's. I think he has become a much better player over the last couple of years and could succeed for the Browns
The guy is a limited QB and needs a good coach to be successful. He'll be in a tough division if he went to the browns. He couldn't even win a weak division until Harbaugh. Remember Seattle went to the playoffs with a losing record? Won one playoff game and still had a losing record? Yeah, Smiths couldn't even win that division.
Smith is being severely overrated, before jamarcus russell, smith was considered the big 1st pick bust. There's no team out their that's a below average qb away from wining the sb. Jim Harbaugh saved this guys career,if you look at his stats he padded them against the garbage teams.
I agree with him being overrated and overall a bust. He can make the pass when all the right things line up (good coaching, good protection/receivers, bad defenses, etc), but it takes a lot more than that to have a career as QB in the NFL. He will likely get to a team where he can play, but he is not the elite QB he was drafted as. Will likely flameout after another year or two. My expectations for Smith and Sanchez are about similar.
I think the Smith "story" got too much attention this past week.
Not much else worthy to talk about. Ray Lewis "might have" used illegal substances, Chris Culliver dislikes gays, the Harbowl thing has been overkill. The Smith story was the next interesting thing to talk about.
is it just me? or is common sense not that common.
Ray Lewis did now use illegal substance and the Harbowl isn't overkill man its the super bowl every year they have to have something to talk about and the Harbowl is one thing. Imagine having 2 kids in the super bowl or you and a brother were the coaches. That's craziness man. Anyways I'm all for the 49ers in the super bowl. Kap is gonna tear up the defense and make Ray Lewis look like he is on ice skates. They Ravens aren't going to have an answer for Kaps ability to run and throw. The difference between Kap and RGIII is that Kap doesn't force the run he lets it come to him. This is why he is healthy and RGIII is not healthy. Kap is a huge threat and its going to be a great game! GO NINERS!
we're going to my bro-in-law's house for a family gathering, starting with lunch..then the game on tv...and celebrate chinese new years at the same time
49er fans are pretty cocky. I'm not a fan of either team but the ravens beat manning and brady. Could the nfl possibly want ray to retire with another super bowl ring? Maybe, all I care about is the pools for the game and what type of wings were getting.

dvr'ing it so I can snowboard in the morning and not miss the first half.
@lightning80 - Chinese New Year this weekend? Thought it was next weekend? I'd be pretty cool if Chinese New Year and the Superbowl were on the same weekend. That'd be so much fun!!

we're doing CNY a week early since we're already getting together for the game...less traveling for all of us...we don't all live in the same area...
I'm curious to see how much money victor Cruz is going to get. While a rfa, I can still see a team throwing a 1st round pick to get him. Giants can't afford to lose him with nicks always banged up and they lost mannigham last year.
A team will definitely throw a 1st round to get him. The Giants other receivers filled in nicely when called upon last year so if they could snag a first round draft pick for him maybe they would let him walk
exactly, who cares if akers knows how to tackle. Tell him to learn how to kick first. I like how they said he made all of his in practice on Friday, their last practice ... yes, cuz that really matters. We'll see how he is during the game. I say Ravens by 3 points :-)
I have the Ravens picked to win this one, but I'm (kinda) cheering for the 49ers solely based on a west-coast bias. HOWEVER, if Kaepernick gets taken out at any point in the game and Smith comes in... I will cheer for SF whole-heartedly!
Don't really like the Ravens, but I'm an AFC guy over NFC and it will piss Steeler fans off if they win so I'm cheering for the Ravens.
But if the Niners win, they'll tie Pittsburgh with six rings. That should piss em off more.
Didn't think about that, good point. Sounds like Steeler fans are going to have a miserable day regardless. A bad day for Steeler fans is a good day for me.
Wow surprised this game came down to the last few minutes, after Jones took that kick back I figured it was over. I thought there was supposed to be a sexy kate upton mercedes commercial, wtf did I miss it or did they just make a big deal about it to get me to watch for the other one in hopes to see her.
