Just finished reading The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. One word... Awesome!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Fight Club. The movie follows it pretty closely so you probably wont have the whole surprised experience if you have watched the film but it's still a pretty good read.

A song of fire and ice/game of thrones books !!!! The tv/show is amazing also.

band of brothers is a great book, but what are your other choices?

it was an hbo series, and the series is based on the book.

"A Random Walk Down Wall Street" is the title I think of a good book about investing.  Comes down to not expecting a greater than normal return unless you want to be gambling instead of investing.

just read eating animals, which was pretty powerful and melanie rae thon's "the voice", both are incredible.

i've been reading the walking dead graphic novels and game of thrones both great shows and great books.. tho the walkin dead is quite a bit different from the show.

Game of Thrones was a little difficult to start I felt.  Lots of characters and lots of bouncing around the first 100 pages or so.  Also the author goes into a lot of detail at times which slows the story down. It probably would have help if I had seen a couple of episodes of the show. However the book is starting to pick up.

i agree 100% i actually started the first book... then watched the first 3 episodes to place names with faces and it helped. I do have to admit they have done a great job with the show.

@chillwill  Yes, I couldn't resist the hype and wanted to see what it was all about!  

I'm only about 1/3 of the way through a storm of swords (3rd game of thrones). It's like 1100 pages. 

Following a month holiday through Europe I read Marching Powder and the Hunger Games series

so i picked up 50 shades of grey aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...........i don't know what i'm reading sometimes...seriously...
