The Mavs took the Celtics to double OT but still lost. Just too many turnovers, otherwise, the game might have ended differently. But at least they're doing it without their best player in Dirk. Hopefully, Dirk will be able to come back soon and start winning these kinds of close games.

I'm really interested to see this new look maverick team with Dirk back in the lineup. I think they've been playing decently without him with the way mayo has been playing |

i had written this year off as a rebuilding year with a whole new cast of players and dirk recovering from surgery. i'm surprised at how well they have played together and how the individuals have stepped up. mayo was coming off the bench last season, but now is putting up all-star numbers. vinsanity is shooting lights out. now, the bigs just need to stay healthy and attack the paint to open up the perimeter for all the shooters that the mavs have.

I couldn't be happier to see the Lakers struggle. D'Antoni needs to take the D out of his name because he hasn't a clue of how to coach it.

i was really surprised the mavs have going so well especially without dirk. i i thought they were gone this season but when he gets back theyre going to be a contender for sure. mayo has really stepped up. still not prepared to write the lakers off, there are to many stars in that team for them to not pick their game up, pretty sure nash is back next week too so that might give them the boost they need. |

The warriors today just could NOT buy a bucket. We had open looks and stuff but we just couldn't knock them down. Also, today showed how much we really need bogut to get to the next level

What was that? Day six of a road trip? After a rough game vs the heat, the legs must be a little tired.

^Kinda bothers me to hear him get booed. I mean he had nothing but good things to say about NY and the team. I guess they felt differently for his reasons for leaving. I blame the knicks for not matching Houston's offer. But it is good to see him play well in MSG.

the knicks fans were classless, booing jlin. he did nothing but help their team last season. it's not his fault that the knicks didn't match the offer from the rockets. what was he supposed to do? take a whole lot less money to stay in new york? did they even offer him anything? i'm glad he had a good game and showed that he was worth keeping.

Knick fans are the worse and seeing as i'am a lifelong knick fan since the Bernard King days i can say that without blinking an eye... here's my take on the J Lin fiasco
1. the knicks never made an offer 2. melo was not a fan of Linsanity and even went so far as to break the players code and make disparaging remarks about Lin and his contract offer. ok melo did ask dantoni to play Lin, but when he realized the fans and media were going absolutely bonkers over Linsanity, and every question in the pre-game/post-game interviews were about Lin, melo had enough. He saw the writing on the wall and knew that if this kid stayed in NY, "melo" would not be NY's no.1 3. before Lin stepped on the garden floor NY basketball was in the shithole. noone gave a rats ass about the knicks even with the addition of amare and melo. Linsanity brought the city back to life and gave NY basketball a whole new energy, every game was sold out cuz asians in droves wanted to see one of their own play in the NBA i haven't drank the cool aid like the masses saying "melo for mvp" or "knicks going to the finals"... puhleeze. what a joke. they'll be lucky to get out of the first round, mark my words. it was immensely satisfying to watch J Lin come back to the garden and blow out these fake ass knicks. /rant

Holy smokes! Warriors pull out another win. They used to lose it in the 4th but they can finish games. Green doesn't put up big numbers but he makes some clutch buckets.

Oh my Raps are on a roll! Time to climb out of the Atl div basement. Nice little thumping over the Blazers to kick off the year. But the sked is only gonna get tougher with OKC, Heat and Lakers this month.

Clips and Warriors leading the pacific west is just... strange lol. Definitely not complaining though! Having any west team dominate other than the Lakers makes me a happy man!
The Nets move to Brooklyn seems to have put things in the right direction.. still not great, but at least a winning record. ![]() |

CP3's size makes him so much more impressive. Hes a little guy in the NBA, so he really has to make room between him and his defenders if he wants to get a shot off without getting block. I love watching him play. |

looks like there's been a shift of powers in the west...clippers, warriors, and griz rising...lakers and mavericks dipping. i can see why the mavs aren't doing well with dirk just returning from surgery and basically a whole new team of support players. but, the lakers with all their star players and still struggling to win games just doesn't make sense.

I completely agree man. They have no real excuse...just terrible defense and teamwork. It was fun to be at a Lakers game with all the hardcore fans, but there was also alot of frustration. |
