I pretty much just play texas hold em with my buddies in my home town for $10-$20 buy in depending on their checks that week haha. I've also played in vegas on my last trip, nothing serious though, just a regular $100 buy in tournement at the hotel I was staying in.

Not a gambler, but last time I played was probably high school with texas holdem. I never enjoyed poker but won lots of money from it in school lol

does anyone else use data mining software to see tendencies of other players? have you ever wondered if the number of people spectating the game actually meant anything?
why yes, i COULD VERY WELL BE that dick/data miner/not exactly cheating but it's pretty much cheating...

Yeah, home games can be fun, but the play can be soooo loose at times when it comes to betting.
I don't use data software to see players tendencies but I do use sharkscope, a software to keep track of my individual stats for tournaments. This is the most I've won from two back to back tournaments playing online. Took 1st and then 4th. Definitely a nice payout for what I invested. What sucked about that tournament I finished 4th in, was that I took two back to back bad beats to bust out. Had I won those hands I would of been in first and would of been looking to win the tournament. Poker can be so brutal sometimes. ![]() ![]() So, any more poker players here?

I don't think I would ever play for actual money online. Too easy to collude/cheat. Could be the same person at all other 9 spots on the table using 9 different IP addys for all I know.

It's harder then you think it is to collude. I've been playing online poker since 2007 and never ran into colluders. And I have played on like 6-10 different sites.

I really enjoyed playing a few years ago, in person, in casino and online. It just took up too much time and a lot of the players I played with stopped playing (fad at the time).
I actually wanted to see if I could make money playing online so I put in an original amount and never played for more than 10% of my total money at any time. Eventually, after a month straight, I was able to cash out for 5x my original money. It would have been interesting to keep going to see if there was a money level what I would not have made money on. It was just eating up too much time.

I have a lot of players that don't play much because of the same reason, a fad at the time. Although some still continue to play but not as often. Poker definitely does take up a good amount of time, especially if you're a tournament player. I took a long break but I'm back on the grind, so I'm gonna try to play as much as possible. What site did you play on that you were able to cash out with some profit?

i love poker and play regularly in cash games usually 2-5 at the local casino or home game. i used to play tournaments but my patience for tournaments has gone down...ill play WSOP circuit events here and there when they come to town but I stick to No Limit Hold 'em cash games mainly. like everybody else said i wish i had more time. but my teaching schedule allows me to put in some solid hours in the summer time.

I believe it was on Titan Poker but this was years ago. Not sure why I picked that one, prob because of all the loose suckers that were on there
. They sure do make you mad when they hit, but you can win against those types over the long run. |

I have played a lot of online poker. My problem is cashing out, a lot of the online sites make you wait 48 hours to submit a payout request after first initial deposit. Check out Bovada, after the ban of pokerstars and fulltilt, Bovada is one of my favorites!

Why is that a problem for you? You're telling me you don't have the patience to wait that long? lol. Bovada sucks. They don't even offer rake back.

It's a problem because I can't stop playing and end up just moving up in tables. Ill start at .25/.50 and slowly work my way up. I like playing the higher stakes because players play very loosely, but I always end up losing lol

and they also label players by number, so no one knows who you are. I prefer playing that way because I change up my style all the time.

I used to play online quite a bit but that was due to the 04/05 nhl lockout. May have to consider getting back into it this season haha. Only play live with friends but have always considered playing at casinos. Though I've heard from other ppl that its very intimidating so it kinda deters me from trying it.

Play online only during lock out seasons, haha. 04/05 was when online poker was still fresh. Where the hell did you play, partypoker or pokerstars? For money or free? Let me know if you decide to start playing again. I know of a good site you'd like. So far I managed to go from $0 to $220 in matter of week and half time playing only MTT's. I've been on fire lately.

Juicystakes.eu They have freerolls, so if you don't want to deposit you can have a chance to advance to the next tournament and play for a chance at some money. Which is nice and exactly what I did to avoid depositing. Just make sure if you decide to deposit or win money, to sign up with a rake back program like raketherake.com. You'll get %36 rake back, which is always nice. But please let me know if you decide to do the rake back offer, because I'd like for you to use my referral code. Depending on how good you are and the size of my bankroll, I might be willing to stake people. But I would have to think about that. Are you new to poker or been playing for a while, milutinho?

I played online occasionally back in the day on full tilt but I pretty much made my living on playing live during the 14 months I was unemployed. Now that I'm working again its hard to get that time needed to be in "poker shape" for lack of a better term, especially for live action, so I'm looking for alternative ways and online is defo a time saver. If some guys around the Chicago area wanna get together for a home game I'd be down.

Well so far I've managed to turn $0 into around $390 on that juicystakes site. It's amazing how far you can take your couple bucks from a freeroll you won and turn it into so much more with some solid play and patience. I've been doing a good job managing my bankroll. Sold a good amount to friends for cash, but still have a good amount to keep building to eventually play bigger buy ins to see bigger payouts. All it takes is one nice payout of $1k+ to really boost my bankroll and then I'm really rollin'.
