Recommendation on neck gaiters (neck warmers)

I personally have a UA hood which I love, it goes down far enough on my neck it keeps me warm. I also have a Yowie from Outdoor Tech and it's really nice as well. A full UA hood is pretty snug to the face, a Yowie tends not to be as tight. Personal preference there.

I think it is great becasue you can breathe without traping the humidity of your breath and it has little strings that go over your ear so it doesn;t ride down.
Also you can eat drink or blow your nose without taking it off.

It's definitely worth it. I personally love them. I got a hat that has a face mask attached to it and it goes down to my neck too. Great breathability and keeps your face out of the snow.

I have a Coal neck gaiter and I love it. Either keep it up around the nose or down when its warmer.

I use a Kuiu neck gator. 100% merino wool. Really soft on your skin and ultra warm. The merino wool does a great job of moving moisture away from your skin and doesn't stink after a long day like synthetic materials. I can wear mine for a week straight without wash and it still smells fine (although i don't do that very often) ;)

I use a Loki 5-in-1 face gaiter. Wins everytime - Beanie, balaclava, nose, mouth. All levels of coverage. Easily the best thing I've bought all working holiday.

I, too, recommend Airhole Face Masks. I just bought one because it was at an after Christmas sale price, and it arrived last week. Was able to use it this weekend and LOVED it. I board at night, and the runs are shadowy in places, and fogged goggles mean for me. I had no problems with fogging because of the airhole. FWIW, I've tried balaclava masks and ended up feeling claustrophibic. I'm quite happy that I stumbled upon the Airhole face mask.

^^ I had neck gaiters before and didn't like them. Tried full face mask and half face mask with thin scarf and didn't like that either. Now I use a bandana/scarf type to cover my face and neck and I love it. It's twice the size of a regular bandana, 10 times the softness, 5 times thinner, and really soft/puffy (don't quote me on my softness and thickness rating, it's a guess.) Any who, it's big enough to cover from my face to lower part of my chest (I bundle any extra to my neck and it's super comfy, like the softness, ventilation, and warmth is so nice.) Doesn't fog up my goggles too! My point is that you just gotta find the right one that works. not all bandanas are crap. It didn't come from a snowboard brand but my gf got it for me from the mall dirt cheap. That's my story and I'm sticking to it
