I'm stuck between the two bindings. Either the infidel or triad. Any inputs???

triad has the old cartel base. infidel is the 2 piece base where the lower part is softer, if I remember correctly. it's got a little more side to side flex than the cartel base, but still strong edge to edge response from the stiffer spar that runs from the toe to the heelcup.
infidel base is a little more padded, but the triad is still fairly damp. highbacks are comparable overall but have their slight differences, and the wing doesn't do much, if anything at all for most people. overall I find the cartel/triad to be slightly more responsive in general and in the base, which is what I prefer, but the infidel is still a solid medium do-whatever-you-want type of binding. that said, I really don't think you'd be disappointed by either.

i personally ride the triads and love em....
on a side note, spenser, i thought the triads (apart from the now-gone P1.1s) were the plushest ride as far as base and straps.....????? |

I guess I forgot triads stuck around long enough to get full base padding with gel in the heel, like infidels. in that case, it's just the difference in flex... a little softer side to side with the infidel. I noticed it, but others might not. I like a pretty solid binding myself...

Thx guys. O decisions decisions. I prefer softer side flex so infidel for me most likely. Was also interested in the winged highback but it seems like is just a gimmick.

wings can work, but with the way it's applied, I don't believe the burton ones do anything. others might feel differently though, who knows. it's just that the binding already has that extra bit of side to side flex, and the highbacks aren't really stiff or anything, so even if your leg does lean into the wing, it more or less flexes out of the way.
