Switching out Burton Custom and Cartel Parts

So... i bought a new pair of cartels but i found out that i don't have an EST board . I swapped out the back plate and the straps with a pair of customs that I had and rode with the Cartel/Custom Hybrid (minus the foot pad and est mounting system from the Cartel) and they seemed fine. Should I expect to run into any problems or should this be fine? thanks

It's fine . . . except you're not getting the new baseplate you paid for.  Plus instead of two pair of usable binders now you've only got one.  I would think that wherever you bought the new binders would do a return/exchange -- this is likely a common prob.  Good luck
