hey guys, I'm looking for a lightweight board (sort of like the burton vapor) but less expensive, as I don't have $800 to spend right now on a board. I'm looking more about in the <$400 range, older models are fine, the cheaper the better. Probably looking for around 160-163. Thanks!

I'm assuming you want a powder board? or is there other terrains you want to ride? Give us something like where you ride, how you ride (pow, grooms, park..etc), does it only have to be lightweight? which kind of technology you need/want? you know... the basic info we need to help.

Look for a Vapor that is a few years old. An inexpensive, ultra light weight snowboard like that Vapor is tough to come buy. All the tech that goes into a snowboard like that cost $$$.

i'm pretty new to snowboarding (3-4 seasons) and yeah, I'm looking for a powder board I suppose, I dont really know the tech in the boards, but I tried the vapor this season and I just fell in love with it, so I wanted something similar to that. :)

"cheap" and "lightweight" are conflicting wants
you may be able to get a used DC MLF. If you're trying to go lightweight and save money, you may want to look at just getting a shorter board. Since you want lightweight im assuming it's for more finesse in the park for rotations/jibs also dont forget that bindings and boots make a huge difference in the overall weight of your system

cheap and lightweight does not have to be conflicting. just a fine balance between the 2 would be okay :) but yeah, i'm looking into lightweight bindings aswell |
