Hi, at the moment I'm rocking size 10.5 UK (11 US) Salomon Synapses with a 161 K2 Turbo Dream. I recently sold my Ride Capos becuase they were too narrow for my boots, and I'm in the market for a new pair of bindings.
These are my choices at the moment: - 2012 Burton Cartel - 2012 Burton Mission - 2012 Burton Malavita - 2012 Rome 390 - 2012 Salomon Cypher - 2012 Rome Targa I want an all mountain binding that will let me do anything on the mountain, but I'd rather they were stiffer than softer, so which one of these would you guys recommend? Haven't been able to find that much on the Cypher in particular, and or one of the Burtons is the stiffest. Thanks!

I would go with either the Cypher or the Cartel if you want something on the stiffer side of things. Cartels are a classic binding that have a proven track record of performance so they are a pretty safe bet. The Cyphers are really nice; light as heck, durable, comfortable and made for ripping fast and hard. here is all the info on them that you are looking for on the Cyphers:
Baseplates: The Slasher baseplate’s lightweight design shaves 100g (per pair) from the Cypher bindings. Polycarbonate material allows for an even freestyle flex. IMS: Salomon’s patented trick for keeping your disc screws in place while adjusting your bindings or swapping out boards. Composite 30% Compo-Lite baseplate tech: more rigid than low end plastic, more durable and comfortable than aluminum ADJ Toe Ramp: dual layer toe pad with super easy adjustability for the best transmission on toe edge Power Heel Lock: simple heel tab on the back of the heel cup that matches up with the spine on your Salomon boots eliminating heel lift Straps: Hollowed out for a lightweight, formed fit, the 3D Supreme Light ankle strap supplies a whole new level of riding comfort. It is padded out for a maximized cushy feel and has a torsional flex for support with no pressure points. True Grip toe strap is a super lightweight, locking toe strap with no need for a full release to quickly lock you back in - no more cranking in and out of your bindings all day. This is paired with Salomon’s unique and exclusive Fast Fit, the fastest toe strap entry design on the market. Spend less time strapping in and more time riding. Highbacks: Flex Rating - 4 (1 Soft - 5 Stiff) The Salomon Cypher Snowboard Bindings feature the Carbon Drumframe highback with bomb proof carbon construction in an asymmetrical shape and flex, for increased lateral support and better medial mobility. Additional Features Multizone EVA Pads: EVA foam padding softens the contact by absorbing the vibrations. Viper aluminum buckles: increased ratchet throw gets you a deeper grip with less effort, so your straps go on lightening fast. Quick and easy to release, nothing but smooth sailing strap adjustment with the Viper's new three point hinge mechanism and easy grip shape. Adjustable toe ramp Specs: Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Binding Style: Strap Warranty: Lifetime on baseplates and highbacks |

Ok thanks! At the moment it's been hard to find any Cyphers for cheap in the UK, and I'm worried they'll be a bit too stiff, but I've found a pair of Rome Targas, Cartels and Malavitas for a good price. Do you think the Malavitas are stiffer than than the Cartels?
