"AutoCant is a new padding technology put into the BEDs of some of our key models.  Unlike traditional cants that force a rider into a specific canted angle, AutoCant forms to a rider’s natural canted angle.  The wider the stance, the more cant; the more narrow the stance, the less cant.  There’s no need to think about it, AutoCant adjusts automatically.  The way it works is relatively simple – on the inside (medial side) of the pad, we use a softer, less dense foam, while on the outside (lateral side) of the pad, we use a firm, more dense foam.  The difference in density allows the boot to more easily settle into a natural canted position, depending on the rider’s stance width and angle."

Also Unions do not have canting options so its not exactly a one for one comparison to bindings with cant beds if thats something jhoang is looking for.
