Hi I am finding that you cant quote people on a thread by pressing quote-(nickname of person) if there are other posts after it.
Like if theres a thread, you try quote the post that is 3rd from the last post. The page that comes up where you write has the quote of the last post instead of the post you were trying to quote. Its getting really annoying because you gotta keep copying and pasting the post you were trying to quote while deleting the last post that was automatically quoted for some reason... |

lets see if i can remember this one...
Look above. ^^ Look for the menu bar that has the community tab on it. Go to the right. Youll see control panel Click that. Now look for the forum settings menu. Change Enable WYSIWYG editor setting from off (default) to on. Now you can quote the right person. I think its that one.

dont sweat it. Look at my profile. Plenty of flags. Only worry about it when you start hitting the high teens. At that point its definitely more about something you do rather than us flagging you because of x, y, or z reason.
But general forum rules: No spamming, no trolling, no annoying the nazis with the spam flag, no necroing, no starting pointless threads, only post questions in the ultimate question thread, and only post pictures in the funny picture thread, and finally try not to post in the same five threads every day. Its really annoying :) Have fun :)

Its just annoying cause I got spammed for something that was completely fine for the thread...
High teens? I thought you were banned from participating in forum threads if you hit 10 spams? At least thats what says on my profile.. One of my threads got locked just because I tried to avoid necro-ing and started a new thread.  So it was like ok Im not allowed to revive threads that are like 4 years old (I dont like doing it anyways) but then Im not allowed to start new threads either... Thanks for the reply though!

You won't get banned with you hit the limit(s), you just will not be able to earn any more points for posting. Checked your history but not sure why your post was flagged for spam. But like ippy said, don't worry too much about it.

Just to add to that, you might also be confusing reviews with forum posts. You can receive up to 30 flags before you no longer receive points for posting in the forums. However, it only takes ten flagged reviews to lock you out of the points system for reviews.
As for the flag itself. No idea. Maybe the person who flagged you took umbrage to the superlative form of simple being simplest and not the most simple. Or they maybe got irked that you chose properly (in an orderly and appropriate manner) instead of correctly (error free). :) Maybe we have grammar nazis (im not one, i neither capitalized I nor Nazis for example). Either way, i reckon you got flagged because someone has a wicked sense of humour and felt it was funny to have a wee dig at you for your grammar whilst you were moaning about people's spelling. As such, and on the grounds of comedy (and the fact that you have zero flags and also gained two points by talking about it legitimately and thus are 1 point up on the whole affair!), i strongly approve of this flag! :D |
