Hey I'm 6 1 and looking to get a new board for next season. I currently have a K2 Illusion 155; the problem I've mostly gotten with it is the catching of edges which is super frustrating, otherwise it's a great board. I'm looking for a board that's an all mountain freestyle board so something for both park and powder, ideally. And most importantly something that DOESN'T catch edges...let's talk!

Edge catching goes with the territory. Likely youre riding out of your comfort zone or just lapsing your concentration. Its just practice. Should you buy a completely different board though because you struggle to keep it from running away from you? Its your cash, your time, and youre choice on what you want out of a day on the slopes. Me personally id just stick with it because theres no better thing you can do for your ride than improve your technique and get over your hump.
BUUUUUUUUT... if youre determined to avoid edge catches and arent having much fun on the board youre on, the simple solution is find a softish-medium flex board with raised contacts. Pretty much every brand out there offers what youre after so its far too many to list. Do a spot of research, look for reverse or hybrid camber (or TBT) and youre pretty much not going to be catching your edge. Instead youll probably be washing (until you dial in your technique - but washing is always preferable to catching so what the hey) :)
