pets..got to love them<3

I got four day old brown shaver chicks in Feb last year..

LaNieve- That Sounds very cute and funny.You must have a big yard and have a healthy breakfast each day....

Rye- I couldn't find any thread about pets so I thought I would just start one. I think having pets are amazing cause they go through so much with their owner with wanting little in return. Also, they seem to do the most ridiculous things now and then. I know my dog does.

heinz- having a puppy is a lot of work. I'm not sure if you need the advice or not but maybe You guys can set a pee/poop schedule with the little baby. and bring him/her to the weewee pad and everytime it does, give it a treat. Also it sounds crazy but every time you see it squat or lift like its about to pee run it to the peewee pad so it knows to pee there. Hope it help some how but Good luck.

I had a little dog that loved my little brother so much that it jumped a six foot fence and came to elementary school with him. As you can imagine, the principal was freaking out with a dog at school.

i got a cat who is 6 years old and still likes to piss in the house... hes been doing it since he was a baby, and he knows its wrong. i swear he does it to screw with us... he also likes to attack at random moments... my poor 14 year old dog gets the worst of it... bottom line is the cat is a goddamn terrorist... 

I'm very lucky to have 2 cats that are very well behaved with lots of character. I don't think they're creepy to me, my cats are very predictable.Lol. I have a male and a female. They are a year apart and they love each other. They sleep with me every night, taking turns snuggling with me under my blanket. For some reason, they have to be laying and/or leaning on some part of my body while we're all sleeping. Is adorable...but until it gets too freaking hot.

l was at a friends house party during christmas, and he had a cat. The cat would sit in the christmas tree and as people pass by, he would try to paw you. Pretty cute and devilish. Must be a cat thing

I have honestly never liked cats... ever. Kittens are alright but yeah cats just aren't at all like-able for me. I think they might be evil. lol that's why dogs are the best

I like both cats and dogs.  But I definitely like dogs more.  Cats are kind of boring.  All they do is sleep all the time, then wake up and want to eat, then spend an hour cleaning themselves.

What bugs me about cats is when they want something they will incessantly meow.   They will meow until you let them outside, then 10 minutes later they start meowing to come back inside.  And plus, you can't take a cat anywhere like you can a dog.

I've never had any cats that I got as babies and raised completely indoors.  Every cat I've ever had has been a stray that eventually moved in.  And they like to spend a good deal of time outside.  So maybe the fact that they are outdoor cats have something to do with it.  When I've had kittens they are very playful and fun, but it seems like when they get older they tend to settle down a lot.

You've never had a cat that meows when it wants something?  Or a cat that spends a good deal of time cleaning itself.  Or a cat that sleeps a lot?  You can take your cat for walks, or in the car with you?

this remind me of the cartoon webisode on youtube called "simon's cat". it's hilarious. I love animals, dogs and cats, but cats scares me sometimes. I work at a vet's office and the ordeal to handle them is crazy. They can love you one second and the next they're devils. Unfortunately, we all have to be able to grow past the fear and do what we have to do.
