Just purchased some Nike Zoom Kaiju boots and have some questions about them. Has anyone had any issues with your feet getting wet? Also when I laced them up I have heard some of the fabric ripping and the open eyelets felt like they were going to come out of the boots. I don't feel like I was over tightening them either... They are super comfortable but I'm afraid for the life of the boot. Especially when they cost over $350 bucks!
Thanks! |

typically nikes are built quite well. some of the most durable boots I have owned (had 4 pairs) as well as my friends. if you have any concerns and they actually occur, try to contactthem, or let me know and I will do what I can - I manage a shop up here in AK.
it sounds like you didn't ride them yet, correct? I wouldn't worry about anything thus far.. see how they do after a few days or so

No I've rode like 4 or 5 times so far. Today was the first day that my foot got wet. I literally had to wring out my sock it was soaked, just one of them.
The times that I have rode and it was cold my toes have froze. One time it was one foot and the other occasion was both. It's not from over tighten my bindings either. I have had probably 3 or 4 pairs of boots all DCs. Overall I have been satisfied with them but wanted to try something different. I don't really like what they are putting out these days. Reason I posted this is I wanted to try and see if the boot is defective or this is something I should expect with a replacement pair. Thanks |

that sounds strange. we sell kaijus here and there are a bunch of everyday-shredders that are riding them, and I haven't heard any feedback about them getting wet. I rode the zoom forces for all my pairs and had zero issues like that, and we definitely have a wet climate up here, being part of the northwest and all.
with cold toes, that usually comes from imperfect circulation, which can be the case for you, but if they feel like they fit good, it's hard to say. they have a space blanket liner in the sole and stroble, so in theory they should be pretty good as far as keeping you warm, but everyone's experience is different. if contacting them directly doesn't yield any results, send me a message on here and I will do what I can

Thanks, really appreciate it. I purchased them from a local skate/snow shop about four weeks ago. I'm pretty confident that they are an authorized dealer. I don't feel it will be an issue... Thanks again for your time!

haha yep, if they've got 'em, they should be an authorized dealer and should be able to make the connections for you.
