When your edges are dull, you should sharpen them. One good test to see if they are dull is to scratch your edge on your fingernail. It it peels up a little, it is sharp enough.
You should wax your base when it becomes dry. The base will start to look white and patchy in areas. Particularly by the edges. If you ride ice a lot, you will be sharpening and waxing more. |
