So I've been out of the game for a while do to a new baby, lack of midwest snow, etc. I am looking at a 2012 Model Rome Garage Rocker. Should I go 154cm or 156cm. I am 5' 10" 160ish lbs. I'm in the midwest so it'll be groomers and park only.
Sorry for adding to the board sizing question bin, but I've never ridden Rome. Also, is there really that much of a difference between the Union Force and DLX bindings other than the $70. Will the DLX perform well for being an "entry level binder?"

DLX are softer on paper and may feel more comfortable in the park. Forces are a bit stiffer, have more response, but do great in the park as well. Preference thing, I think. I have forces and love them. Other people have DLX, and I haven't heard many negative things said about them. As for the board, 2cm probably won't feel all that different. Maybe feel the flex of the two boards- chances are you'll be happy with either size.

force: higher end baseplate with more levels of padding, full base padding on top, significantly better straps, magnesium buckles vs aluminum, and all around "upgraded." the DLX is one of the best bang-for-your-buck bindings on the market though. they are a solid binding too, whereas many other cheap bindings are significantly less responsive like the burton freestyle, which is the same price as the DLX. it's what I suggest to people who want a bombproof binding that's just really basic, but they are still looking for a certain level of performance over many other cheap bindings.
for what you're going to be riding, the garage rocker 54 will be perfectly fine.

Good load of info there. Maybe I'll grab the board while its on sale and wait for a deal on forces. I despise paying full price for anything.
