You can do a lot of Core Strengh Training in the off season as well as buying a balance board. Another great trick for learning how to get on the rails is to grab a baseball bat or just a 2x4 and practice ollie'n on and off in 50/50's and board slides.

I have now been on 5 trips snowboarding and have the basics down. I really want to improve and feel more confident. Is there any kind of practice available to directly improve boarding skills? Living in Texas, I don't have snow or hills for that matter. Thanks for any advice!!
