Thinking about Sierra at Tahoe on Saturday, but worried about the conditions. Can anyone that goes on Thurs or Fri let me know how it looks? Mainly looking for West Bowl conditions. I expect afternoon slush, but I'm not interested in rocks.

I was there last Sunday and the conditions weren't all that bad. We did get some snow melt during the week because of the temps being so high.
I got up there really early in the am it was very fast and hard. It soften up in the afternoon a bit. But, didn't run into slushy shit....no rocks showing either in which is always nice...
There will be a party in the parking lot w/ music and some local color on Sat from what I understand.
Enjoy.... Im planning on being up there one day this weekend as well. Trying out my new Capita Photo Fetish - that Steve R

I was also there last Sunday and the conditions were good, but that was before global warming week.
Any suggestions on whether I should go rock board or new board? Like everyone else, I wanna try out my new board but rocks scare me.

I haven't been to Sierra in a while, but we went to Northstar yesterday and Sugarbowl today. Both day were great in the morning and SUPER slushy by about noon. My advice, hit up a morning sesh and don't feel guilty cutting out early if it gets too soft. And dress for the heat. It's warmer than shit up there.
