i guess this is it now. bsod for an average day with a decent amount of fresh snow/variable conditions, outdoor when it's tracked or not very deep, charlie when it's deeper and more fresh. haven't ridden the fish since opening day. normally depends how i feel like riding, and i choose between it and charlie. haven't ridden the split yet cause i just got it. rome deck is interchangeable with the bsod for me. riding that now cause i'm "supposed to." tried the TFA, not my thing, so it's hanging out until someone wants it. shralp is going to ride it tomorrow i think. got the charlie 54 for zoe's trip. basically her board for when she visits and we get lots of snow like the last few days, and my friend/roomie noe may ride it on deeper days as well, or other friends who it fits. in the mean time i'm just keepin' it in the closet for her. |

too stiff for me personally and i also felt the slight width difference from the black death. i liked it for what it is but it's not an everyday board for me. it might be a board i ride if i were hucking tricks off booters in backcountry pow, but nothing at a resort. at 145 pounds on a stiff board in a non-short size, i don't really have the weight to push the board the way it wants. the bsod is more my deck and is still a midstiff board, although i'd rather have the 59 than my 56, not that i'm complaining.
it has nothing to do with how it rides (turns/etc whatever), it really came down to being stiffer than i like, for me personally.

Yeah they are still around and trying to make a comeback. After the breakup with the Union guys they put all their efforts into selling in Europe.
I work for the local rep and he sold them to me. There are a few shops in PA that sell their bindings still but not too sure about boards. |

I intend to keep riding as long as possible (Sunday was the first Spring day that really set up great for corn) but this is what the corner of my garage looks like with the intention of heading into the summer . . . .

^^ nice. Could you just put the boards on the supports instead of putting the wooden shelves up and then then the boards on top of the shelves?

You could also probably slip some kind of felt tube to protect the boards as well. Like a fabric condom. |

NC doesn't compare to CO at all, does it? I live in NC and have family in CO. I took a trip up there and was absolutely in awe. So beautiful. Not to mention much better snow

^^ Nope, NC doesn't compare well with CO. We drove 4+ hours each way to a tiny, 97 acre resort (Beech). Even the "small" places here like Monarch and Cooper are worlds better than Beech. Although, Beech did have a detached lift which was nice, plus it was super cheap during the week compared to CO resort prices.

I've never been to Beech, I just ride at Cataloochee which is just puny. When I visited CO I was riding at Sunlight Mountain in Glenwood Springs and was just surrounded in like 5 feet of powder when all I ever rode was groomers, plus I was on a park board
didn't do too well. But I can't complain too much, I only live 30 minutes away from Cataloochee.

You must be too young. Drake was pretty big back in the late 90s early 2000s. I used to work at a shop and they were big sellers back then. I guess they are trying to make a comeback. Haven't heard of them any time recently. Back in the day, I believe they were part of Northwave boots too.
