![]() 9 and 12 are circa 2000. 7 is older, maybe 1999. 1 - 4 are what I currently use. 5 - 12 are for sale. Interesting fact: all of my boards are sintered base and high/very high stiffness (which is what I prefer) except my newest board: the Artifact Rocker. #12, in particular, has a fat aluminium beam insert running tip-to-tail, instead of today's carbon/kevlar stringers. ![]() |

What little time I do have for internet forums is spent on EL for the most part. Been pretty busy with the new job and my much-more-convenient-now ability to work on cars. Living in MN in general is tough on a snowboarding obsession, but now that we're like 40 miles from Iowa it's even worse. Got out 4 days total last season and 3 of them were in MT. Probably some of the sweetest riding of my life, tho, so it was well worth the shortage.
Got a job at a body shop down here after the wife got a job offer after college. We do mostly classic/hot rod restoration stuff so that interest that was buried inside since living in the cities for a while has come back to the surface. Work with my boss on the side at his house, too, so I've learned more in the last year than I had the previous 5+ it seems. Bought my first project car (72 Chevelle SS) and also got a sweet ass truck (67 Dodge crewcab) as a wedding present from the wife's parents. So, got my hands full and then some. |

Hey broke_folk, have you been riding the NUG long? What are your general thoughts on it? Is the "shorter wide" design really a big innovation to freestyle riding or more of a gimmick? Anyone else have experience with it?

I got the deck half off at the end of last year with a set of g3 skins. Already had my sparks but added new LT brackets and the voile double heel lifts/pucks. Looks cool though right?

My custom made board from New Zealand custom board company called Candleman snowboards. Got it for free from their snowboard design competition in 2011 (didnt exactly win it since they gave the prize out to everyone who entered due to low number of entries). Made from NZ wood and top quality components.. My board, my design :D Soft, flat camber in the center but rocker outwards from the inserts
Burton Lexa bindings, theyre pretty sweet Also won a snowboard design competition in korea with a korean custom board company, Ill probably try compare the two custom made boards when I get this one later this month :D |

^^^ Scorer have you considered you might just be too much man for those things??? The aluminum LT pins/brackets have been solid for us. I have them on both my boards and my wife's as well. I bought her burners as the LT package and retro-fitted my older blazes with the aluminum pins. I also hit up jeff at sparkr/d for the brass bushings to replace my green/blue plastic since I had the old model. Those seemed to make everything more solid but they don't stay in my bindings as well as the factory-fitted ones in my wife's burners.
I think the LT bracket makes touring a lot more solid (and killclimbz said he agrees, as I recall), but if you're destroying the aluminum pins you can probs solve it by running the steel pins with the aluminum brackets (but not vice versa because the voile brackets will shred the aluminum pins). -b

Aluminum is a really soft metal, so if it's a part that is under stress you want something like steel.
