||I haven't been to Granite's Peak. I did hit Cascade and Devil's Head early in the season and have a pass to Tyrol. I'd agree. I like the longer runs at DH and CM compared to Tyrol. Granite's Peak "most complete" designation is interesting. What would you say makes it complete?

||Whats the best wisconsin resort? I'm a rookie, any advice?

||I would recommend a helmet. My first day on the hill was brutal:) I'm still not sure what I was thinking without a helmet. Everyday since I've worn a helmet. (Smith Hustle) For your rear end, it's hit and miss. I never had any trouble, but several of my buddies either seriously injured their tail bone or were really sore. It all depends on the snow, the slope, and exactly what you are trying to do out there. Take it easy on the easy runs and you will be fine. Push the envelope and you're looking for trouble. I liked the linked some of the posters provided. Nike also makes some pretty nice padded gear in different shapes and sizes. I like their stuff because it's not super big and bulky, and adds just a little cushion. http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?sitesrc=uslp=#l=shop,pwp,c-1+100701/f-4294967114+4294962862/hf-10002+4294962511/t-Men's_Bottoms/ipp-48/pn-1

||I was wondering about those. What other boots out there are compatible with the heat packs?

||To be clear I'm not upset about this....I was/am super pumped when I saw I won the free daily giveaway last thursday. But I have to admit I had some strange emotions to be part of the first group in 150 weeks to "win" but not actually win a snowboard. I thought it was hilarious. On one hand I was so jacked up about winning and seeing my name up there, on the other hand it's just my luck that I win on the day that the format unexpectedly changes. It was funny to hear doug on the video cast trying to explain it all and say something like,"oh, we'll have to change the daily giveaway page rules." On there it was still saying that everyone was winning a snowboard. But then baby started crying so I missed hearing my name on the video. I actually didn't know I won until the next day. but again, i'm super pumped to get my bindings! and will wear a badge of honor to be among the first winners to not win a snowboard.

||I treat the day like a workout or triathlon. Start out some energy drink or something. Then trail mix, powerbars, and gatorade through the day. Maybe slip in a dt. coke for the caffeine. Fruit snacks? hell yeah. I'm so old and lame:)

||Thanks gang. that's pretty helpful and pretty much in line with what I've been thinking. I'm getting to be a bit of a gear junky and was kind of hoping to find justifiable means to get new boots. :)

||Ok gang, what's the warmest pair of boots out there? Driest? Does anyone have any luck with boot warmers or sock warmers?

||I recently had an issue with my discount and shopping cart when using google chrome. Not sure what the deal was because I've used it plenty of times before, but it was all cleared up on Explorer. Super strange.

||We cook a frozen pizza or three. Cut them into tiny pieces and pack them in the cooler after they've cooled off a bit.(so the cheese doesn't get all melty and stick all the pieces together) So for like 5-10 bucks we have a delicious snack all day long. I also stash some trail mix into the diet.

||Nothing I don't pull off in my driveway on a regular basis...against 4th graders...with the rim at 7 1/2 feet.
