5/23/2013 11:10:41 AM	How can you say the Pacers are overmatched when the game was close all night, went to OT, and took a buzzer-beating basket from Lebron to win at home? I believe the Pacers took 2 out of the 3 meetings in the regular season. The two teams are much closer than you make it out to be. Yes, I do think Miami is the better team. But it will not be a short series.
5/23/2013 10:58:26 AM	The Rangers are playing with scrub starting pitchers and still managing to be on top of the MLB. Ross Wolf pitched a win yesterday, allowing only 1 run against the A's. Wait, who's Ross Wolf? He started in place of Nick Tepesch, who had a blister. How many of us have heard of Tepesch? Next up is Justin Grimm. Yeah, I don't know who he is either. At least we know the rest of the rotation: Derek Holland and Yu Darvish. Just wait until the real SPs return from injuries: Neftali Feliz, Matt Harrison (SP/RP), Colby Lewis, and Alexi Ogando (SP/RP).
5/22/2013 2:24:32 PM	I think the Lakers always have a foot up on the competition for free agents because they're the Lakers. Of course, the list I posted earlier is no where close to the full list of players that will be available. Those are just some that I think would make immediate impacts on the teams they go to. I'm pretty sure they'll get at least 1 of those on my list, Dwight Howard being the highest possiblity. I know he's been reported to be looking at Houston or Dallas. But, I think he'll eventually stay in LA and play with Kobe a couple more years. I'm hoping Dallas will land CP3, or Jose Calderon since they'll need a PG that can move the offense. Also hoping they'll get a sharp shooter SG like Monta Ellis. They'll also need to replace Shawn Marion (if he doesn't re-sign) at SF, maybe with Andre Iguadala, but Marvin Williams will be cheaper. They'll also need a center since Chris Kaman and Elton Brand are both free agents; maybe Al Jefferson? I know the money is going to add up with all these "wishes". I'm just hoping they get some top free agents plus some of the cheaper ones to get back to their winning days...

They have a lot of cap space and are talking about unloading their 1st round pick this year to save even more money. And Dirk has already come and said that he's willing to take another pay cut so the team could have more money to offer to big name free agents. Dallas has a few key players going on free agency: Chris Kaman Elton Brand Shawn Marion OJ Mayo Darren Collison There's a good list of free agents this year: Chris Paul Kyle Lowry Jose Calderon Manu Ginobili Monta Ellis Andre Iguodala Marvin Williams Paul Pierce David West Earl Clark (he was surprisingly good this past season for the Lakers) Josh Smith Dwight Howard Al Jefferson Andrew Bynum

5/21/2013 11:03:46 AM	Yeah, I thought Chicago would have had a chance at beating Miami if they didn't have all of those injuries. It's hard to win when you have the start the bench, and play without your MVP. In other NBA news: now that New Orleans have changed their mascot to the Pelicans, the Charlotte Bobcats is thinking about taking the Hornets name back to town. Hey, Michael, focus on the product on the court. The team by any other name is still the worst team in the NBA...
5/21/2013 10:54:35 AM	I've never seen freezing rain in SF, and it never snows there. But, it can be cold and foggy all year round, depending on which part of the bay you're in. But, Santa Clara is in a part of the bay area that's pretty much nice all year round. It could rain, just like anywhere along the west coast during the winter. Other than that, there shouldn't be any other weather issues.
