5/20/2013 11:22:00 AM lolwut
dead serious he said that, he's like yeah we just tell people to wear socks when fitting them. I might go back there and find some other guy and doit again
Coming from someone who's worked in shops for the past 3 years, the guy is full of shit, doesn't know anything, or a combination of the two.Go back in and ask for someone else, and if they try telling you that again, just be adamant that you want the toe caps on. I assure you that they aren't "stupid" or "very old technology". I fitted numerous people this season at Northstar with those caps.
ok will do, thanks for that
5/20/2013 11:20:52 AM Hey Forum, Anyone know of any boot fitters in Melbourne?? I've got a pair of Thirty Two boots which are apparently the widest boots I can buy and it's still not wide enough. I'm a size 8US in length and a size 11US in width, which when/if I'm fortunate enough to get 4E width shoes I'm an 8.5US I've read about boot fitters from a few searches, and also a guy at Altitude Hawthorne told me last year it would be possible to stretch / widen the shell of the boot but we tried a few other options first which showed improvement but still not perfect. Now unfortunately I went to Altitude today and it seems like the Hawthorne store has closed shop and have probably relocated again, but I don't know where. Was wondering if anyone could help me out in my quest to make some boots fit my stupid feet. Cheers, Benjamin

5/20/2013 10:24:48 AM ok weird, I went to get my boots heat moulded and the guy at the store said the toe caps were stupid and very old technology.. Anyone know where I could potentially get custom made boots? or even customise/alter my current boots to make them wider??
5/7/2013 10:16:40 PM ok turns out they do have the toe caps, just need to specifically ask for them
5/1/2013 5:42:13 PM That sucks... I'm in Melbourne, Australia. There's only one shop here that seems to stock ThirtyTwo boots I'll ask them about it, although I've been there before and all they do is heat up the boot.
That's what heat molding is...?
I'm aware of that, but I want the extra step with the toe caps

5/1/2013 10:59:22 AM hey guys, bit of a thread revival but does anyone know where I can get toe caps from to do the heat moulding? The shops here in Aus don't seem to have those fit kits from thirty two. Cheers, Benjamin
5/1/2013 10:21:30 AM Hey Guys, I'm looking to purchase the pair of TM-two boots and saw their video on moulding the boots but can't seem to find this 'Fit Kit' they speak of. Does anybody know where I could purchase one? Cheers, Benjamin
2/21/2013 4:35:41 PM Hi Guys, Just trying to use my goggle couple and it says it's good for $100 off but when it comes to the check out the full price remains. I was just wondering what redemptions are allowed or what restrictions are in place when using these coupons Cheers, Benjamin
9/11/2012 10:23:31 PM sorry for reviving this old thread, I've been googling for what angle is best suited for buttering. just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or tell me the theory behind the angles. I'm not so much after a specific number or angle but more of a concept or formula to work out what I need. so i can find the best middle ground for the activities i'd like to do
5/18/2012 7:04:13 PM this came in just yesterday, couple goggles spare lens some gloves and a goggle case still more gear to come =]
5/7/2012 7:03:48 PM Actually. I'm starting to think the torque readings were off. You're right it is quite high. I've never really compared torque or worried about it since I've always had more than enough so previous dynos id have a graph of power and afr
5/7/2012 12:58:30 PM Supra's are sweet. Two of my buddies in high school had Supra TT's. I even went to a MKIV Supra Meet in Vegas around 03-04. We got pulled over following another Supra doing 130MPH and at one point we were doing 155MPH. The cop was chill and wrote my buddy up for either 109 or 99, whatever the limit was so that he didn't have to take us to jail. He hired a lawyer and somehow ended up getting out of the ticket.
very lucky, must have been back in the day when cops were relaxed. things used to be like that here now it's all hoon this hoon that
5/7/2012 11:54:16 AM That's a different unit though by the looks of it. lb.ft is weight force multiplied by distance. the units on the link you posted are lb/ft which is measurement for surface tension?
