9/4/2011 12:31:12 AM I recently received the 2012 gear guide and was pleasantly surprised to see an ad from ProBoardshop.com for Sierra boards.  Thought it was pretty cool! Page 247.
4/3/2011 9:32:09 PM Spring has arrived with high temps and so has the slushfest!  Heavenly was so icy this morning that it would have been better to bring ice skates.  By noon, it was slush city.  Fun nonetheless!  Is it becoming slushy in your area?
2/15/2011 9:07:49 AM We had an uneventful Valentine's Day and the hubby says, "You know, we should get the Go Pro camera so you're in the shots too."  Great idea, but I hadn't found any deals to buy one.  At least, up until last night.  Buydig.com has the Go Pro Hero 960 advertised for $189.  Then comes the 25% coupon code I found.  No tax, free shipping (coming from New Jersey).  Out the door $141.75. Sold for 2!  Happy Valentine's Day! In case you want to check it out, http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=GPCHD96001 Below is a screenshot of the code working (GOPRO25).
2/8/2011 9:02:18 AM Would-be robbers taken out by renegade Granny and her handbag.  Great morning video. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/41470872#41470872
1/8/2011 2:53:09 AM Salomon F20W Women's boots (2009/2010) Color: White/Black/Multi Size 4 (true fit is 3-3.5 in youth) $65 shipped to you via UPS ground. Take these off my hands!  Used for 4 hours on New Year's Day.  That's it.  Why, you might ask.  I did A LOT of sitting and waiting for others to catch up.  It was during that time that I realized the boots were squishing my toes.  They are simply too small for me.  I bought them on December 27th. I, now, have the same pair in a bigger size and I LOVE THEM!  They're very responsive, warm, feet are supported where it's needed, extremely lightweight.  They are my perfect boots!  It packs a lot of tech in a small boot size. If I didn't tell you I used these, you'd never know!  Check out the soles! Photos below.  PM me if you're interested.  Thanks!
12/19/2010 5:25:52 PM With all the fresh snow falling all yesterday and today in South Lake Tahoe, I thought it would be a fantastic pow day. This is one meant for taller folks.   Riding in 3 feet of pow, gusts of crazy wind and being 4-foot 9, it was not a fun day to ride.  I did more digging than boarding.  So I called it quits after a few runs.  I was beat! Have you had a day where you threw in the towel due to the weather?  Where were you?
12/7/2010 11:19:44 PM I typically put my boards on the roof rack of my car and we drive up the mountain through all sorts of weather.  Recently, I've noticed dirt and debris getting into the crevices of the bindings.  The buckles sometimes will not latch to the straps.  It has a gritty feel when it does buckle.  Not to mention they get pretty filthy altogether, especially when we travel during storms.  Decided to use women's nylon stockings to cover the bindings.  Cut up the legs and stretched it out over the binding. In theory, the stockings act like a filter, keeping the dirt out and the nylon material dries in seconds in the wind.  So I should have dry, clean bindings to start the day.  I didn't find any product similar to my idea. Do you have this issue and if so, what do you do (if anything) to protect your bindings from the elements?
11/2/2010 2:11:29 AM Never realized Colorado had so many mountains to ride.  The hardest thing is choosing where to go to maximize 4 full days of riding.  My choices (for now) are the following: Steamboat (considering cat tours) VailBreckenridge/Keystone (both in one day)To be decided.Where would you go and in what order?
10/28/2010 1:27:53 AM I came across an airfare sale for Southwest.  Purchase by October 28, 2010, 11:59 pm Pacific Time. $30, one way, up to 450 miles $60, one way, 451-1000 miles. It goes on from that point.  Round trip to Vail or Breckenridge (flying into Denver) for a grand total of $141.40 for me.  Lots of other destinations are listed. For those who are interested, here you go... http://www.southwest.com/landing/halloween_offer.html?int=HOMEHEROHALWOW101026
9/28/2009 2:37:23 AM One of my all-time favorite movies is Out Cold.  It's funny and revolves around something I love.  What's your favorite snow-related movie?
9/25/2009 1:56:47 AM Anyone been to Sun Valley?  What's it like?  Pow heaven? I've been wanting to check it out since seeing it in a magazine some time last season.
9/22/2009 10:11:14 PM What do you absolutely need to have before you ride?  No, aside from the gear and passes/tickets, what must you carry with you at all times to be ready for the day? Mine... -a tool kit -chapstick -tissue -IDs (license, medical card)
9/20/2009 5:11:39 PM I've always wondered what perks you get from working at a resort during the winter season.  There's gotta be other things than the snow.  Can anyone shed some light on this?
9/17/2009 9:39:13 PM I always thought every.. and I mean literally every  family went on a snow trip of some sort.  Boarding, skiing, tubing, whatever was snow-related.  Obviously, this is not the case.  My dad is usually goes on boarding trips with us.  Mind you, he beats us down the mountain almost every time.  He's just too damned fast (he's 54 years old).  I always have a blast hanging out with him, enjoying pow and the mountain air. Any of your ride with your parents?
9/9/2009 2:18:00 AM Has anyone ridden a carbon fiber snowboard?  If so, how's the ride and what are the pros/cons?
