||^ Yeah, I guess the SEC is overrated for winning 6 national titles in a row against teams from every major conference. TAMU is sooo overrated too for recruiting well over the past 3-4 years and playing a phenominal QB and having a good head coach. good point. Hell, to say you're tired of the SEC love fest is one thing. I live in SEC country and it's getting a little old. But, to say the conference is overrated is laughable.

||
When UO played Auburn for the NC game in 2010, Auburn was averaging 42.7 PPG against their opponents. in the NC game, they scored only 22. While the names on the jerseys have changed since then, I wouldn't say their defensive presence has. I think it's an interesting matchup in that they both have to make adjustments to account for the other. The PAC is generally known for high-power offense teams (especially in the top half), whereas the top half of the SEC is predominantly recognized for their prolific defenses (hence why Bama can run up the score on Michigan or Arkansas, but really struggled to get those 21 points against LSU). Oregon wouldn't run up scores on Bama's defense either, so i'd expect the final score if they met to be fairly close to the Aub/UO matchup.
That's a good well thought out point, but you need to flip it in the other way. How many points was UO averaging that year? I don't have that info in front of me right now but i'm pretty sure it was in the 40ppg range. They were only able to muster up 19 points against a Auburn defense that was suspect at best by SEC standards. This Bama team is top to bottom better than '10 Auburn. Except at the QB position. If OU gets a chance to play Bama, which I believe they should if they run the table, they will get suffocated.

||After pondering the topic, I thought of something that could be awesome. Maybe this will prevent George Lucas from butchering the original films any further. The thought of Hayden Christansen, or however its spelled, added into ROTJ makes me want to vomit. For shame George Lucas! For Shame!

||Look who Auburn's one win this year is against. Louisana-Monroe in overtime. Schedule aside it's still impressive to see a team win with a depleted roster and nothing to play for. My point was not to hype up Penn St. It was pointing out that Roof's defensive scheme is not bad. If you're familiar with the story, the people around the Auburn program ran Roof off for being incompetent. He took(was advised to seek employment elsewhere) a job at Central Florida a year after helping AU win the BCS NC. So to make a long story even longer Roof took a ton of flack for a meddling head coach and you see the results. This same head coach, who is a defensive coach, is now calling plays on the offensive side of the ball at which has resulted in the worst Auburn football season since 1952.

|| For the SEC followers out there. This Penn St. team is winning games with the much maligned former Auburn DC Ted Roof. Who was the scapegoat fot the teams struggles in 2011. His defense is competitive while AU is a dumpster fire at a lovely 1-6. Things that make you go hmmmmm...
